Jew hating Corbynistas united behind RLB, Owen Jones, James O'Brien, Ash Sarkar etc etc. Starmer has acted quickly to any whiff of anti semitism as he said he would. Maxine whoever the feck she is clearly a massive " look at me " luvvie actor who thinks her opinion is worth more. You can almost hear the cracks opening as the Labour party continues to break apart.

Society has never been so conformist with the irony being that those most hell-bent on ensuring that we have no other choice but to adhere to a group-think mentality would have been, even 20 or so years ago, those at the forefront of proclaiming themselves as the 'rebels'. Now, merely the worst kind of sheep who simply want to expel from the flock anybody who shows even the merest form of not adhering to what everybody else is meant to say and think. It is like all this BLM lunacy at the moment. Taking a knee, vocalising that perhaps defunding the police and a whole host of incredibly sinister notions are not a form of rebellion anymore. This the Establishment POV. Believing that smashing up shops and attacking cop cars is a legimate form of protest is what the Corporations actually support. Hence the farce of having to watch something as venal and globalist as the Premier League falling fully into line behind it. Still c'est la Covid. Perhaps this is all just proof that the world has gone full turn and that anarchy is now considered to be the default position of all correct-thinking people whilst those of us with traditional socially conservative views are seen as the extremists. All I know is that the world is f***ed with the BBS the tiniest microcosm of the Zeitgeist powering that destruction.

It seems that Starmer is now running into problems from his own MPs over the sacking of Bailey. I think they have a point. However, do we think that Bailey or indeed those Labour MPs would extend this nuanced approach to those outside the left. I think not. This is the environment that they themselves help create and they only complain when their own rules are applied to themselves. Edited by Stirlingsays (26 Jun 2020 8.51am)

He's only got problems with Corbynistas, happy to see them break apart into the anti semitic Jezza group and the others who think Starmer can at least get them a better pension if promoted in Shadow cabinet. Race baiters like Lammy and Abbot now think they are heading for the House of Lords if they control their anti non black sentiments. If the Corbynista Momentum lot had any integrity they would form a new party then we could see how the Trade Union money would fall. When the Lib Dems have a new leader in 2022 no one will care

It was a battle that was inevitable and I guess he has chosen to fight on this hill. And I suspect he will win it. Strategically better to fight it early on, get the bad blood drawn before the conference. Interesting to see the time-line in that RLB had already agreed to row right back on the tweet but even then not enough, with Starmer effectively stabbing in her back. Some on the Left think that Starmer might have even threatened to withdraw the whip from RLB over this.

Lol I saw an article the other day about their leadership contest which I had completely forgotten about I did not recognise the 2 leading candidates names and I can't remember them now. Completely irrelevant.

Ed Bunter and because it's the Lib Dems, a recently self declared lesbian of Palestinian ethnicity, not that preference or demography is relevant . I suppose the key point for her is she is unlikely to be involved in the Lib Dem fave past time of rent boy scandal.

When the Lib Dems have a new leader in 2022 no one will care True, but that's essentially the whole party....and the majority of its activists. Corbyn and co slowly ousted the moderates. I agree with you that Momentum should form it's own party....but it took over Labour instead and no one gives up power willingly. It would take Labour's grass roots to change things and its grass roots support Momentum. From their perspective it would be crazy to leave Labour. They have a genuine chance of power once people have fully acclimatized to their politics as they are the only realistic alternative....then it becomes the new normal. The far left will never accept Israel with its current boundaries and policies. If that's a hill he's prepared to die on, I don't see him lasting as leader.
