I think you underestimate just how to the right some of you lot are on here and willing to brush this aside just because you think he’s pushing your hard Brexit, anti-press agenda. There’s some very moderate Tory voters aghast at what he did and Johnson’s handling of the situations. Attachment: 1FCE5A0B-49B3-4E5E-BD0F-050FFFFF9F9A.png (5,468.71Kb)

Oh if you read the Mail you're a Tory then.....It's a bleeding women's paper!.....I'm on the right and I wouldn't touch the rag with yours. If you want to know who the Tories are they are the typical lot you find on this forum. Edited by Stirlingsays (28 May 2020 11.03am)

It’s disgusting. The fact that he can sit there and chat absolute bolll*cks about testing his eyes when driving 30 miles to a castle on his wife’s birthday is beyond a joke. People have been unable to attend funerals and I haven’t seen my parents in months just because he’s BJ’s mate he gets preferential treatment it’s outrageous. Sack that toss pot. He could’ve been testing he was fit to drive 260 miles without stopping by driving 30 miles from the farm and 30 miles back, but it was his wife’s birthday so it is very likely a reason. It isn’t a sackable offence though, as it wasn’t for Stephen Kinnock, Tahir Ali and the other half a dozen labour MP’s that Starmer hasn’t sacked but in his opinion Cummings should be. If they were then Cummings might have gone I reckon.

Disgusting is a slight exaggeration. You can call it other things but disgusting is lazy mouth frothing.

The same point applies. The Mail was clearly pro brexit. If this was a Remainer only issue, the Mail wouldn't be using it as click bait. Out of interest, what makes you think "most tories regarding this for a load of old codswallop"? FYI: Yougov poll on whether he should resign:

I was more interested in Barnard Castle. It made a couple of appearances in the Rising of the Northern Earls, 1569/70 and I believe, The Pilgrimage of Grace prior to that (1536?). Must be a nice place to visit. If I was being a tw@t, I could just pop over and take a look, as I don't believe restrictions apply to people visiting from Ireland (I could be wrong). That would be one rule for one, one for another. Tripadvisor have suspended reviews.

Well go and see your parents then. He could’ve seen his parents from a distance for the last 2 months like Cummings and millions of other people have done.

FYI: Yougov poll on whether he should resign: Edited by IMpalace (28 May 2020 11.16am) I said if I were forced to characterise this I'd say it was mostly remainers. I have already said that the Mail is a click and rage entity.....they bend with the wind and that's why they take the position they have. As for polls, when the media have been shoving the same message down their throats for weeks now. The loosely aligned are much more likely to go with what they consider the popular opinion....Tory voters included.....but the stats show a slight majority against sacking him. The more to the right they are the less likely they are to support sacking Cummings.

Obviously the more to the right they are the less likely they are to sack him, he's a Tory advisor! The assertion that this is just a few people trying to stir trouble (lefties, remainers or whoever else we want to try and blame this on) is palpably false. The majority of the population, the majority of brexit voters and an almost even split of Tory voters think he should resign. As I said, if there was an apology and an admittance of guilt, fine. Instead, we get barefaced lies and assertions that "reasonable people" will agree this is a non issue. In reality people across the political spectrum disagree. All very depressing.
