Not really. Very early starts and pretty boring. Despite being let loose with a flamethrower. Not sure I want to know about the flamethrower! I know the hours they work are long and the actual picking is back breaking work, Qudos to anyone willing to do it.

You can't make people do anything but terms of the government scheme is that you can VOLUNTEER for work without penalty while you are furloughed. If crop harvesting is in the 'national interest' it could be promoted and potentially organised as such ... but no one in authority has bothered. The other problems are that no testing is available to reassure prospective workers and there's no overall plan to get people back to work.
