Seems like a trillion years ago but Wilbs was in the Stockport side that we beat in that crunch relegation match in which Dougie scored the late winner.

As I recall (but I may be wrong), Clinton Morrison also played and Steve Kember was the manager.

I think Kolinko was our keeper.

Was it Dougie or Ollie who signed Wilbs for Palace?

And Kuqi in the Stockport side. And Dougie.

Our team at Stockport :

Kolinko, Austin, Mullins, Berhalter, Smith, Thomson, Carlisle, Riihilahti, Forssell, Morrison, Freedman. Subs: Gregg, Hankin, Evans, Black, Hopkin.

Kember was indeed the manager. This was his second game in caretaker charge the first being the 4-2 win at Portsmouth.Kember took over a team that had only won 1 of the previous 14 games, that being a narrow 1-0 home win over Crewe.

Thanks Willo.

Decent line-up - wonder why we struggled that season.

Can never forget this game.

Watched it in a pub. Two days later I was up for sentencing at Crown Court, a week later I was expecting the birth of my first child.

Didn’t know if I was going to be there for the birth..

All ended well.

Dougie scored.

I got off with a fine and community service

My Mrs gave birth to a newborn Palace fan

Palace can be like that. It’s a journey like life with all the ups and downs along with some laughs and tears along the way.

I saw him score (on the "box" that goal, and good luck to him...didn't go right with us, but nice to see that things work out in the end,,,Hope he continue's to do well..good luck Aaron..

This did make me chuckle-career highlight?
It reminded me of when Peter Shilton was playing for Plymouth at the end of his career, someone said that if he played his cards right he could get a recall for England. It was pointed out that if he could of played his cards right he wouldn't have to still be playing football to make ends meet!
