I would expect loans, and perhaps players who will be out of contract in the summer - hence being cheaper.

Saying that, I think Nathan Ferguson of WBA is yet to sign a new contract and is out of contract in the summer.

Check out the Palace thread, what players do we need. There are a few on there and they appear to genuinely believe we don’t need any players.

We are currently 3 wins clear of the relegation zone despite being as high as 9th. Yes, I understand all of the arguments that we shouldn’t go down, however 2 or more additional injuries and we could be in deep trouble. Roy sees that, most of us do too, but clearly not all.

yes just checked it out, didnt see it . i agree with you entirely. we do need fresh new younger players , we have currently one of the oldest if not the oldest squad in the league . i wonder if the potential rumoured sale of the club will have any bearing on what is spent in the window . i cant see the yanks splashing out if their intent is to sell their shares. i reckon we will get a couple of loan players in. maybe timmy back for right back or clyne if he is fit . But you are right we are only a bad run away from the bottom 3 and with arsenal and man city coming up still fear the worse .

oh yeah ,fcuk off brighton.

He'll be lucky to get one, and that probably won't be a player he wants anyway

I’m not having that. Been waiting for ages for a season where we aren’t looking over our shoulder coming into the new year, this is the one.
3 wins clear of the bottom 3? If we get something on New Year’s Day, we will be 3 wins from safety , with 17 games to play.

When we get to 40 points I'll breathe easier and not till then.

As long as we don't have another Solanke debacle like last season and we keep Wilf I see a loan or two and an cheap striker from Scandinavia.

I cannot believe some are saying we don’t need players when Roy himself has said we are desperate for replacements.

We need a right back, we need a left back, a winger and a striker and if possible a creative midfielder.

Wilf going to Chelsea would be ok but I would want Batshuyai and either Hudson-Odoi or RLC in exchange plus they pay our Man U contribution. It ain’t going to happen however.

My order of importance is

1) winger
2) left back
3) right back
4) striker
5) creative midfielder

The following can go

1) Benteke
2) Dann
3) Camarasa
4) Wickham
5) Sorloth

Pretty much agree most of this but am saying our business model doesn't need these players and that's what counts.

Ps still dreaming camarasa is a contract thing and that he will be a non stop feature for the run in...

If their is a prospective buyer, who is, at this moment doing due deligence, could they loan the money to the owners and that be taken off any purchase price? I don't know if this would be possible under PL rules

I believe Roy will get all the players he has asked for.

I also believe Margot Robbie will accept my offer of a dirty weekend in Margate.

Now that made me chuckle!!

We took out a £30m loan against the Wan Bissaka money didn't we - especially for this window??
I see Batshuyi in until the end of the Season, Wilf signing a pre deal with Chelsea for the Summer and a right and left back coming in but no more than that.

Apparently, I'm a bit of a pessimist (hence my pseudonym) but I would settle for that arrangement. it should be enough to see us safely through to the summer. However, I would want full backs no older than mid twenties so we can begin to lower the squad age, which to me is currently way too high.

I don't think Roy will get any of the players he want's . SP/DF may well be singing from the same song sheet but Roy has not been given a copy of it . WE signed Camaraya but I don't think that was Roy's choice , as he has yet to play him . CP do not need luxury players like Batshuyi , yet , we need players who will put in a solid shift .

I reckon the same. He is on loan which will be become permanent for around £12-15m (pretty sure that's what i remember being touted around) if he plays more than 50% of the games. If doesn't play 50% of the games we have no obligation to buy him. If this is the ploy by the management then i doubt he will play tomorrow but could feature more after that. i cannot imagine we would ever spend close to £15m on him tbh.
