The journalism that makes it to the paper.

It's generally neo liberal left, which is too right wing for Corbyn but more distance from anyone who'd call themselves a Tory.

And a light year from a social conservative like me.

I'm not sure I'd call that balance exactly.

How on earth is it possible to find a balance that satisfies even the few ingredients of the ideological soup that you have identified?

Things have changed. Journalists used to be known as reporters. They reported actual events.
Now it's all opinion pieces and point scoring depending on their agenda.
This applies to sport, politics or general news.

Take The Times, you've got Henry Winter, Mike Atherton, Matthew Syed, Owen Slot and that's just the sport!

It does make you smile when the supporters of Marxists complain about a lack of freedom.

When Tories are scared of Labour they always turn to denigrating the leader as a “commie” or a “Marxist”. Churchill did it to Attlee in 1945. Kinnock and Miliband suffered the same s*** – the latter pilloried for how poorly he ate a bacon sandwich which, if Corbyn demanded that of a Jewish person now, would cause some headlines.

What Attlee wanted to give to working people - many returning from the war – and what in the eyes of the Tories and Churchill was being a `commie’ was:
• Improve workers’ rights e.g. extending rights of sick leave, ending the casual system of hiring labour in the docks (similar to the gig economy increased under the Tories today)
• A National Health Service (NHS)
• BCG vaccinations for the protection of medical students, midwives, nurses, and contacts of patients with tuberculosis,
• increased government spending on health from £6,000,000,000 to £11,000,000,000: an increase of over 80%, and from 2.1% to 3.6% of GDP
• Expanded the National Insurance (NI) against illness and unemployment, and eventually provided retirement pensions and other benefits
• The New Towns Act of 1946 set up development corporations to construct modern new towns
• A large house-building programme with subsidized rents

This list is important you think about how the billionaires press owners and their well-to-do editors offer as champion of the People Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson and his Brexit deal that removes workers’ rights from his deal.

An article by the London School of Economics found that 75% of articles in press about Corbyn misrepresented what he stood for. [Link]

When you - a Tory - say that Corbyn is a Marxist. What you mean is he will make the lives of ordinary better. You can’t attack the policies because people will like them when they see them – so lie about the guy and make him toxic; simples.

What are the labour parties policies then?
And why are they so good.

Amusing whataboutery....complains about misrepresentation and then calls me a Tory.....I've voted Tory and for other parties.

I have plenty of issues with the mainstream Tory party....I reject most of their social policy agenda as leftist intersectional crap.

As for Corbyn and Marx:

To quote Corbyn with Andrew Marr in 2015:

'He was a fascinating figure who observed a great deal and from whom we can learn a great deal'.

'Marx analysed what was happening in a quite brilliant way. The philosophy around Marx is absolutely fascinating'.

Again on the Andrew Marr show he said, 'I believe there's a lot to learn from reading Kapital, yes, of course there is - and that's been recommended not just by me but many others, mainstream economists as well.'

Corbyn then goes onto 'employ' McDonald, a self confessed Marxist.....who even waved the 'little red book' in parliament.

And you have the cheek to come on here and talk about dishonesty.

The politics that resulted from Marx has resulted in the biggest pile of human bones in history and those that it didn't murder it dragged into even worst poverty and starvation.

You reject the modern Tory Party agenda as leftist?
Be honest, you wanted to end the message " Sieg Heil"

Well I'm glad the commies turned over your boys.

Yes, I agree up to a wide point. You are ignoring starvation caused by capitalist market forces - which include the Irish famine - and many others since. Pinochet made good use of body bags on the road to capitalist neo liberal paradise - which Thatcher supported (she also supported Pol Pot) [Link] So I do not agree right good left bad.

I think there are many things to criticize about UK foreign policy. That is why I like Corbyn. He isn't a terrorist sympathiser. He knows it take two to make peace but one to conquer. He is for peace. It is a tough road when we make so much money from arms sales. The companies who run the MSN will being making their share. It is a very very good thing to lose when your nose is in the trough.

Your commentary has been shown up as the weak nonsense it is and all you have is to shout 'Nazi'.

My family fought against Hitler and it just shows how far gone you are politically that you frame it like that.....For example, that you think my politics, which was far more similar to what Churchill believed in....That you think that is actually 'Sieg Hell'.

Inarticulate nonsense.

Well the Labour manifesto is soon to be published. So look at it and then make your own mind up. They certainly wont be running on ditching workers rights.

I'm not the MSN. I'm not saying "It's between the commie and good old Boris" You probably get that I don't trust Boris and I like the "commie".

Just decide for yourself. What kind of country do you want to live in?

But one note of caution - most of the people who own the press don't actually live here. If things go bad they have already left.
