This post has been merged from a topic called 'Another one bites the dust' by Midlands Eagle Good luck to them. Long term reducing the players will be good for the Royal family. It should really only be the monarch and the heir everybody else should be encouraged to lead their own lives. The only thing that concerned me in the statement was the implication that they will cherry pick what they do and by implication continue to receive taxpayers money. I hope that the statement is just spin and that they don't mean it because I don't think the public will be very happy with that. You are either in the firm or your're out.

They’re stepping back as royals and dividing their time between Canada and/or USA and Britain. Stepping back rather than leaving because of the security of the money probably. People who’ve said Meghan would be trouble were right. All royal correspondents who know a Harry have said he’s changed for the worst, because of Meghan. Falls out with his brother, gets irritable with the press and the times when he’d be friendly with them at the end of tours he now comes out with legal threats. She’s said her British friends told her when she met him, ‘’I’m sure he’s great but the British press will tear your life apart.’’ She doesn’t like being exposed as a hypocrite or the truth coming out so she throws prima Donna hissy fits. The royal family are lucky the first born sons are so stiff and responsible. One who’s mates with a convicted paedophile (in USA law) and this bloke who’s turned from a well liked lad into a bit of a tw@t with his precious idiot wife. Edited by Rudi Hedman (09 Jan 2020 9.29am) I am a republican but I do have some sympathy I cannot imagine what it must be to go through life knowing you are the "spare" is it any wonder they have problems. They're are entitled to live their lives as they see fit the only issue will be how much taxpayer money they expect. My guess is that for a few years they will be news but much like Princess Margaret as the years catch up with them and Kate's kids grow up the pubic lose interest. Anyway good luck to them.

Good riddance to both of them.....Use to like Harry when he was a bit of a 'jack the lad', now he turns out to be yet another 'progressive' and a complete cuck to his self entitled wife.

Keeping their royal title though and the money they get. More hypocrisy. They’ll probably have more intrusion now without security keeping people hundreds of yards away from home. Constant press surveillance from now on probably.

Constant press surveillance from now on probably. Indeed. If you take the Queen's coin....which is really our coin...but I digress. When you take the coin you should do the job. Progressive Royalty is an oxymoron.....I blame Diana as well.....Entitled spoilt women wreck families just as much as anti social overly stubborn men. Edited by Stirlingsays (09 Jan 2020 10.26am)
