Despite all the moans and groans, and weak excuses for not attending Selhurst Park, this of course, is the most successful period in the entire history of Crystal Palace Football Club.

A few seasons back in the Championship, offload players on big salaries and a gradual rebuild may rejuvenate the place. Despite us being is our best ever position, its become a bit boring. Cahill and McCarthy signings are so uninspiring and reflects where we are at present. It just doesn't feel like Palace at the moment It doesn't work like that clubs like Leeds and Forest have been rebuilding for over 15 years and they were big clubs, they are still dreaming of a return. If people don't want to renew their season ticket that's fine everyone has a choice, its the normal churn of supporters. Why they feel the need to try a justify it is strange, nobody really cares. It seems like there pointing out how foolish other people are for renewing theirs, to make themselves feel better.

We drop out the prem were screwed with our wage bill regardless of relegation clauses .. there is no slow rebuild it’s a long way down. We burdened with underperforming high wage players who really don’t give a f about the club. Roy and SP are doing their best despite what we may think . The prem is a double edged sword that will destroy all but the top 8 clubs.

That is depressing in itself. We did finish third once when the top league was crap and that for me was far more exciting than the current period.

Painter you have hit the nail on the head. its an entertainment industry that we've bought into and as consumers people want their own tastes to be fulfilled which cant always happen at a football ground. I underrstand how the OP feels but posting that on here was only ever gonna provoke another "I'm a better supporter than you" blah blah. Perhaps that is what he wanted. I just wish we could stop moaning and start talking football. Yes I know..." we'd stop moaning if the players started playing" but come on there must be something going on at Palace worth discussing.

I don't feel the need to justify my self to you or anyone or pointing out in your own words how foolish people are for renewing theirs. I'm just sick of watching s***e football , getting beaten at home week in week out by so called lesser teams. Am I still a palace supporter yes I am and always will be , it's in my blood ! Will I continue to spend my 400 euro to watch them, no i won't not till things improve.
oh yeah ,fcuk off brighton. |

Although the football is so dire at times, as well as our off-the-pitch business, I think it's indicative of getting older that it becomes less enjoyable. Probably football in general. Priorities change, seen it all before, things in football changing from what you're used to (nostalgia) etc.
