To not sign a striker or right back is inexcusable. We are going into a new season with three strikers who scored 4 goals between them last season which is just tragic. This season is going to be a real tough slog and we will do well to stay up if Zaha had left then I would be saying certain relegation.

Roy must be fuming but of course he will be diplomatic. God help us if we get an injury crisis. If the style of play was dull and predictable last season it will only get worse now.

I'm happy about Cahill and Camarasa. No RB and no striker though so only 3 out of 10. Poor showing on the whole.

Well, it looks like all the positions in which we obviously needed to strengthen have been neglected. Again.

Cue a desperate January transfer window in which we belatedly run around trying to strengthen in these very same positions after a poor first half of the season.

Ask me about Ronald de Boer.

Total and utter hogwash.

Received some £45 Mill for AWB some 6 weeks ago and a key area has not been strengthened.

NO reinforcements in the forwards area so we are left with the mis-firing Benteke, the seemingly permanently injured Wickham and of course Ayew. How many goals have they scored between them in recent seasons ?

Bought 2 players in midfield, one of which has only played 7 games in the past 2 seasons.

Brought in 34 year old Cahill who has hardly played in recent seasons.

Spent the grand sum of about £5.5 Million and recouped £45 Million.
Not brought in a single player in the 2 main areas which needed strengthening.

Nothing short of a darned disgrace. Our supporters have been totally and utterly let down.Well done Parish & Co - you might well hear the wrath of the supporters on Saturday.I for one am considering putting my season ticket on to a bonfire.

I am more disappointed we didn't get a decent attacking full back in, they are not overly expensive, I never thought we would get a striker in, only if Wilf went,
Wilf, Ayew, Benteke and Wickham are your 2 from 4

Not signing a replacement for AWB is not just remiss it's absolutely criminal..!!

£50M we had for AWB we had 5 weeks ago and we have done nothing..!!

No doubt SP will say we have kept Wilf da de da..!!

Ward at right back - jeez he was not good enough 2 years ago - now he's even worse..!! Back up Kelly - really..!!

Our lack of ambition and investment is absolutely startling and totally revealing to all...!!

There are clearly huge problems at the Club and the radio silence from the board and SP just reinforces that..!!

As I have said before this will not change until SP goes - he's time is run if we are to stay in the Prem and was 2 seasons ago..!!

We are in deep do-do..!!

Never has a Willo 'hogwash' been more richly merited

If only Wickham had stayed unfit we would then have had to buy another striker. So, right after we have listened to the platitudes that having Wickham back is like having a new player, we can now look forward to watching him playing for about 180 minutes before he goes back to the treatment table and then we are left with Benteke who will get half a dozen chances that he will undoubtedly spurn and his confidence will be shot for the rest of the season.

Hmm, assessment of the transfer window? Shockingly poor, lost our second best player, pissed off our best player, filled spots that didn't really need filling and forgot about the ones that did.

An absolute disgrace, and we deserve to go down.

We sold an academy kid for £50m 6 weeks ago and have spent peanuts - even if our budget coming into this window was £0, where the f*** is the rest of that money?

To go into your 7th season in the top flight with Joel Ward the only right back in the whole squad is staggering - I don’t know if I’ve ever seen something comparable in my whole time following the Premier League. Factor in that PVA is the only left back, and that our 3 strikers scored 2 league goals between them last year, and I don’t know if a side has ever been worst prepared going into a top flight season.

Parish and Co owe the fans a serious explanation.
