But what about Bill stickers? There used to be an old post card joke "bill stickers will be prosecuted" and someone would write underneath "bill stickers is innocent" and that was definitely a UK thing Edited by cssjim (23 Jul 2019 9.29pm)

I hereby apologise to all that read that joke....I could have resisted but the will is weak.

How’s the echo chamber in here? Maybe if cultural libertarians had constructive conversations outside of an Internet snowflake bubble, there would be more participatory debate and/or understanding on these issues. But if you are just populist observers of current affairs who post on a football website under funky usernames like Tartantalks or Grolf the Power Ranger, perhaps the bigger issue is an impotent powerlessness? If you think academia propagates leftists, take it back through participation. If you think public messaging has become too puritanical, challenge it in your own daily lives. But by Christ, give the screaming into the void a rest. This beige corner of the Internet has become a refuge for... nothing. Nothing at all. No good work is being done here. These words included. Wake up and do something better with your existence. My mum said I was doing fine when she brought my tea down to me in the basement.

Never mind a 'like' button that people ask for, I want a button to confirm 'I want to whisper sweet nothings into the ear of this post before rogering it senseless and then be shunned by it thereafter.' What a marvellous and astute contribution. (Naturally the interminably impotently frothy-mouthed will further froth in response but that's inevitable.) Bravo!

Who are you to give out this kind of 'advice'? Edited by Stirlingsays (23 Jul 2019 7.29pm) Who would I need to be, for you to give it any value whatsoever? I would leap to the assumption that there is almost no answer to your question that would satisfy. You’ll be here tomorrow Stirlingsays, like you always are, achieving nothing. I, on the other hand, will not look at this thread again. I still love you though.

I would leap to the assumption that there is almost no answer to your question that would satisfy. Well, you do like leaping to assumptions. Originally posted by Palace Hero

I enjoy letting off steam and sharing my thoughts with my 'echo chamber' and reading theirs and from time to time there are opponents I have time for. Besides I was a teacher for quite a few years....I've done all that useful stuff. Originally posted by Palace Hero

There is little doubt that many of the more aggressive posters on here have little to talk about from their own experience. It's very rare to get an interesting story of something that the poster has done, driven, participated in. I guess that's why they post here. The part about who you have to be in order for your opinion to be valued is fascinating. The answers given explain clearly why paedophilia is rife in the world.

I've achieved a lot - just never felt the need to brag about it on a football forum. I know you're not slagging me off but equating people who post on here to be somehow responsible for paedophilia seems a little strong. I would be a little insulted by it - if I were a snowflake.

I bet the professor woman who objected to this is a right pig. They're never halfway good looking which is fundamentally what it boils down to, envy.
