If you read the Swissramble analysis of our accounts in each of the past 5 seasons we are lagging behind the clubs around us from a player sales perspective. It's why the Club have now started throwing money to get our academy to A status & start really developing talent. AWB is a prime example, you have players that can enhance your team or, most often, be picked up by a 'big 6' club generating huge income for us. Look at Southampton. In the last 2 FFP cycles they have offloaded quite a team making £300m profit in doing so. Even the Saints came close to going down despite this cash injection & it seems (from SM such as twitter) that their fans believe it's because they took their eye off the academy & thought they could chuck money at the squad. As they, Fulham & several others have proven over the years, that doesn't guarantee you anything. 'Marquee' signings do not bring success but building a team of players that will bleed for the shirt might.
Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five! |

I wondered where all the Charlton fans went after their demise , it seems they all signed up to the HOL to try and encourage us to do the same as they did.

I feel like my interest in raising a question for discussion on what I believed to be a discussion forum has been self servingly negated by an administrator.

Yeah as much as I disagree with a lot of the posts and don’t see a huge problem with the transfer strategy, I think this merging and renaming is a really snarky and petty but unsurprising move from a certain moderator.
