I agree, as bigger clubs have enquired and been rebuffed. They would want a massive wedge as he is essential to their side - and we wouldn't take the risk. Think more bargain basement - the Huddersfield guy or Babacar or some loaner. Is there ANY striker that we could get to play in the PL who is not esential to his side? Rumours about Morelos coming to the Premier League or at least being closely watched by clubs here are definitely true.

This guy for under £20m would be a STEAL ! Get him focused and under control and could be a winning signing IMO take the chance. Would want another back up striker bought in as well though. Keep Wickham while two new guys settle and bomb Benteke out...

No thanks is a championship player standard at best. Have a mate who sees him play. Okay in average league and hot headed.

Lots of people on here question VVD’s ability whilst at Celtic and doubted his ability for the Premier League when we were interested in him. Southampton took a punt and the rest is history! Leigh Griffiths hardly burned the PL though ? Presently in the SPL only Celtic would hold their own in the PL, the rest would probably struggle to get out of the Championship. Celtic run away with the silverware every year. Haven't they not had to open their trophy cabinet in 3 years ? Personally I would rather take a proven Championship striker with a cooler head over this guy, such as Maupay. Edited by Booted Eagle (06 Jul 2019 5.03pm)

I would not really care how many reds he got if he put 30 goals in the net. seriously though, reports are the officials there are a bit oot. looking at how he plays, he's fast, can score with left foot, right foot and header. looks a top top quality player who id want here and would hope other fans here would make a lot of noise about him to parrish. hes the type of striker we need and at 20m would be perfect. the thing is in my opinion hes too good so knowing us we wont get him. i would be very happy if we got him for 20m. get him in for 20m, up the aarons bid to max 30m + 10m add ons.

I disagree. It was until 5-6 years, but with recent financial successes of Celtic, which sold Wanyama for 14 million, Fraser Forster for 12 million, van Dijk for 16 million and Moussa Dembele for 22 million, they were able to bring in talent like PSG's center forward O. Edouard for 10 million, Marvin Shved of Ukraine, Olivier Ntcham, Charly Musonda from Chelsea, Scott Sinclair, Simunovic etc. This meant that all the players who were playing for Celtic and were not good enough anymore went to sides like Aberdeen and Motherwell etc (Ryan Christie, Kriss Commons, Efe Ambrose etc). This meant that players from Aberdeen or Motherwell were sent to even poorer, relegation threatened squads and so on. There's also been a reduction of the teams in the Scottish league, so the talent is more concentrated. Celtic absolutely trumped Rosenborg of Norway in the Europe League (check the statistics box): And at home: They even met twice (once in UCL qualifiers and once in the Europa League): And they even managed to beat RB Leipzig of Germany, their 3rd place in the Bundesliga: [Link] Most of the Championship teams would win the SPL at a canter. I supply the NYCSC & I have to listen to the delusional c***s. They really & I mean really think they'd be a force in the EPL
