Work ethics, or lack of a work ethic, comes from the family. Parenting is an underestimated job today.

Do you ever have anything nice to say about anyone or anything? I don't suppose that anyone used to British sanitation likes the Greek sewage system but it's not that bad. We rent a villa in Kefalonia most summers and take nappy sacks with us so there is no smell or lack of hygiene. You may not care about clogging up someone's sewage but the people we rent the villa from are a very nice couple and I would hate to land them with a substantial bill to clear out their sewage just because I couldn't be bothered to fit in with local customs Edited by Midlands Eagle (29 Jun 2019 2.45pm) Imagine putting your pooey rags in nappy sacks and then having a go at someone for acting civilised. I was having a laugh anyway mate, although I appreciate observation humour doesn't go don't too well when it's all true. I've been to the middle East and didn't feel obliged to take part in stoning women accused of adultery just because it's a local custom. I'm always positive. As stated I love Haven, Cyprus and being British. Just pointed out a few facts that you saw as a negative because they are. Edited by ChrisGC (29 Jun 2019 3.45pm)

I am a civil servant, contrary to public belief some of us do work long hours, I usually work about 60 hours a week and get paid for 36. I regularly fail to take all of my leave to boot. Maybe I should have sold my soul to the devil...
