I would never have guessed that you were old, Becky. Old enough to have done my marching for a better future with the CND on the old Aldermaston to London ones...... now they were fun ! Oh the memories of a mis-spent youth in a duffle coat.......

you could go and support both marches -veterans were fighting for future generations and so are climate protestors. Or fighting for something that still has no concrete evidence that its man made.

I have tried so hard ignore this thread. There is only one solution to environmental issues. You know what I will say next. By the way. Has anyone wondered if global warming might actually be better than the next Ice Age? We are probably f***ed either way but at least with warming, us folks in the north have half a chance. The biggest problem we will have will be refugees. Oh, and having to install lots of air conditioning.

I think you would find an ice age unsurvivable with all the fur coats in the world. Global warming? Pah!

All these dirty climate change spastics banging on about being carbon neutral by 2025, so what then? We all drive about in electric vehicles powered by li(thium)-ion, a market dominated by China. Great. Let's be reliant on those maniacs rather than Saudi oil. Frying and fire springs to mind. Nothing environmentally friendly about its extraction either, might as well be burning coal ffs. It's all just buzz words and hot air. Where the 2010s were all about signalling your virtue by being ok with LGBTQRSTU whatever, pollution is going to be the key vehicle of the 2020s virtue signaller. Stop giving the disposal/recycling contracts to third world nations (that includes half the EU) as they tip it straight in the sea, and whack China with tariffs until they take emission limits seriously. World saved. Don't know why we keep flaying ourselves.

I'm not sure about that, but in any case, what is certain is that climate changes whatever man does. This little window of perfect climate will not last forever and mankind will face a fight for survival, be it in 50 years or 1000 years. Humans in Northern Europe and North America might all be spared the worst.
