Bowen has scored 16 goals this season.
Last season he finished with a total of 22 goals.
The season before that he scored 15 goals.
All in the Championship but not with a high-flying team.

I am informed that Bowen comes from a family of A.Villa supporters and he could be heading there in January.

For a few short months then back to the Championship at the end of the season

A. Villa signed 12 players in pre-season with a net spend approaching £135 Mill.If they are relegated they will emulate Fulham who also spent a fortune and went back to the Championship.

Exactly. If we are seriously in for this type of player I'd hope we would be a better call than Villa as we are more likely to stay up. It will be interesting to see what type of players go to the bottom teams and compare what we get.

According to two separate twitter 'insiders' we are in discussions with Hull over signing Bowen.
One of the guys gets more right than he does wrong so it's got me a little excited.. Just depends whether Hull are willing to sell their best player.

If deals done for championship hotshots in the summer are to go by this would cost £ 15/20 million, maybe a bit more. The cost of existing in the championship could make that kind of money more than interesting. A bigger question is . Have we got that kind of money?

I know he's a talented player and a has a real eye for goal but I can't say I've seen much of Hull live and goal highlights don't really give an insight into his style of play.

Is he a centre forward or more of a second striker?
Can he fill the current role of lone striker for us?
Would we adapt the system for him?

I do think investing in championship talent is a good way forwards. I'm keeping my fingers crossed we're in for Eze of QPR and maybe we'll use the Derby fixture to speak to them about Bogle, as well as pushing for Ferguson at WBA.

Right winger. Cuts inside on his left foot.

Mattteo is spot on in that Bowen has a proclivity to cut in on to his favoured left-foot when deployed out wide on the right in the mould of Andros Townsend.

What I will add is that he has worked on his weaker right foot in the summer and scored goals with it this season.
He adds scoring from free kicks to his list of talents.

Nice. So he'd be a good fit. Seems to pop up in a lot of central positions for his goals as well. No doubt his cost will creep up through the window.
