I've been massively unconvinced with Van Aanholt this season. Think he is a liability defensively and not as good as everyone makes out going forward. Certainly the weak link in our first choice defence. If a big offer comes in I'd be happy to let him go and take our chances on a couple of young replacements from the lower league or abroad.

If true, and if we were prepared to let them go (obviously for the right price), it all depends who would replace them. At right back, hopefully they would looking at Reece James from Chelsea. Though, can't see Chelsea letting him go (maybe on loan). At left back, we could explore possibility of Kieran Tierney from Celtic (but again unlikely). The reality is, we cant let them go without definite quality replacements. Having money in the bank, wont win football matches, players do.

Didn’t Kyle walker go from spurs to Man City for £50 mil? KW might be the finished article (imo a bit limited in attack), but AWB has many years ahead of him. A whole career and 2 big sales potentially. I reckon AWB will be here for another season. Parish isn’t naive in this area. Let's hope that if we do let AWB go for whatever fee, we also make damn sure the sale has a substantial sell on fee percentage - that boy is not going to lose value over the course of his career, and Palace are rightly entitled to a return on his development years at the club.

We have to hold on to AWB, just hope he doesn't leave if zaha goes. AWB has long-term potential and value. Edited by gregski (16 May 2019 4.48pm)

£50M for AWB and PVA 50M for AWB only waiver the 25% sell on clause for Zaha they can then have PVA

I think that PVA will be allowed to go for a reasonable fee.

He's no Andrew Robertson, but going forward there aren't many other attacking LBs in the league ahead of him apart from Mendy. The top teams only want attacking full backs these days, we unfortunately don't have enough quality at CB to utilise him as much so his weaknesses(defending) get highlighted a lot more than they would at a top 4 team where he's allowed to roam forward at will. Edited by steven_t92 (16 May 2019 10.22am) He might be one of the best attacking left backs (in your opinion) but he certainly is not one of the best defending left backs, thats there primary job surely.

No point in any player going to Man Utd, I think there will be a few existing players leaving Old Trafford as well as Oli before Christmas.
