Since they beat us 3-1 at their ground, they have only won 3 of their next 16 league games.

I live on the south coast, a 30 mins train ride from Brighton but I have no idea how Hughton is viewed by supporters.I do know a few Brighton supporters (Not as friends !) but I don't speak to them about such matters,in fact I rarely speak to them at all.

Hughton is their Roy Hodgson.

His critics criticise his tactics, team selections and substitutions. His football is boring and not expansive enough.

Then there are the pragmatists that accept that some of the above is true but that he is a good fit for the club and on the whole doing a decent job.

It's a shame that Palace didn't turn up for the games against Brighton. Had we taken those 6 points, they would now be in the bottom three.

Houghton has yet to lead his country to consecutive international tournament humiliations, nor has he put one of the most dangerous headers of the ball in the world on corners so I think your comparison is unfair.

I certainly wouldn't put Kane in this category.

He's closer to this category than the "competent corner taker" one.

Hodgson obviously felt his delivery from corners was a useful weapon and that he was better deployed in this role than relying on his prowess from headers or second balls.I really don't know how many goals Kane has scored from headers at corners or indeed from balls headed on to which he has latched on to and scored.Perhaps Hodgson had this statistic and this influenced his judgement. In the last 5 seasons, Kane has only averaged just over 4 goals a season from headers.

I thought the party line was that the players came up with the Kane on corners thing? It was just coincidence that he did it in the next game.

Didn't Kane get most of his goals at the world cup as a result from being in there at corners? Either through resultant penalties or the medley.

Whatever the case, Kane taking corners is ridiculous.

I'd say Only Newcastle is a real opportunity for 3 Points in Brightons remaining games as its at home and the toon wont have anything left to play for. Brighton could easily lose every one of the others.

I'd usually be happy to play a part in seeing BHA relegated but it's pretty tight mid table so if we're in a position to jump 2/3 places with a victory the additional revenue it brings at close of season is a essential

Brighton getting hammered. I would not mind at all if cardiff snaffled a point against Burnley, with the midweek fixture to come..
