AWB sold, we need some cash to invest and get those couple of players over the line. He's by far the easiest to replace as we have a good defensive unit for now.

Attack, someone to compliment Meyer so we have another option.

We can't sell Zaha, but all good things come to an end.

This was once a quality forum....

Who is going to buy a striker that has scored what 2 goals in 2 years ? and is on 100k plus a week. We couldn’t give him away .. £50 million down the toilet.

If we have to sell any of above it would be easier to replace Wan Bassaka . Then purchase a proven decent striker . Now that we are relatively safe we should and probably are getting things in place early.

not with SP in charge, you will have to wait until the last day of the transfer window at about 22:30 and then you will probably end up with a loan deal for a player no one else wants!

The season is coming to a close so here are my thoughts on who will be leaving us or who should go this summer
J Speroni will retire and should be made goalkeeping coach
V Guaita will return to Spain and we will replace him with Butland
J Jack transfer out
A Wan-Bassaka will be sold [ I hope not ] to a top team like Man City or Arsenal
J Puncheon his days are numbered and should be sold on
J Ayew should return back to his club
C Wickham a player I like but we can't keep paying him to only turn out a couple of times a season and keeping a slot blocked up for a fit player
B Sako why did we bring him back needs to be move on to another club
A Sorloth not good enough just transfer out
M Batshuayi he would cost us to much for a forward who can't hold the ball up or head the ball
W Zaha sad to say I think he will move on this summer I do hope I am wrong
A Townsend again I hope not but I think he will go back to Newcastle

Eh?
Unless you reckon we are likely to buy 10 quality players over the summer (which is more than unlikely) You plan/prediction has just relegated us. You cant lose that lot without replacing them.
Which is why (whether any of us like it or not) it has to be done gradually with the most urgent changes to be done first along with the least important losses.
Wickham and Punch will go. Bats might if we cant afford Chelsea's asking price. Just those three will be hard enough to replace in the summer. Thats not even including the 'what do we do about Benteke' conversation that the board will doubtless be planning.

Will be interesting to see if we can get a few of the relegated teams better players. Would love Tom Cairney and Mitrovic from Fulham, they would add alot of what we're missing I'd say.

Don't think anyone would match our valuation of Wilf.

Not sure if a big club would take a punt on AWB yet. Likely to go for someone more established.

Luca is player clubs are most likely to be looking for.

Our players are on decent wages too.

I think Aaron Mooy would be a decent purchase.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

It will be very interesting to see what Fulham do, as with their owner and his multi millions they won’t need to sell anyone if they don’t want to.
Just off load a couple of the misfits that they bought last summer and that didn’t really feature or work out this season and they’d still have by far the strongest squad in the Championship next season.

He would be a fantastic signing but after two quality seasons for Huddersfield a significant number of clubs will be after his signature. I’m not going to hold out much hope of us getting him.

In true Palace fashion and especially with SP & RH running things, I doubt there’ll be many comings & goings at all pre-season. If we finish where we are, or thereabouts, it will be deemed a satisfactory campaign. It’ll be another brick in the ‘we have a strong squad so don’t need to buy’ wall and if the likes of Wilf, AWB & others don’t leave then I’ll be more than happy with this tact ...

Roy gives us stability. With that comes rigidness and inflexibility which is frustrating but I’ll take this over uncertainty. Hope he’s in charge next season ...
