I appreciate that the thrust of the thread was about the lack of reporting but when a load of kids nearly get fried by yet another nutter, that is hardly the important aspect. I agree. It could have been a thread with a valid point and discussion but instead it was a daft one with ill informed, if not wholly incorrect, replies.

Anyway in my opinion you're wrong. If this had been a far right suspect arrested for this I contend far more attention would have been devoted to it. I didn't waste any time on replying what I already knew. That you're cantankerous enough to say it's unprovable after it being proven speaks volumes. I thought I made it clear that I couldn't give a s*** about your opinions in the post you replied to. Contact the BBC and ask them why you're right. I'd love to hear from them why it deserved to be front page news, with a picture, 9 hours after it happened with no consequential outcomes.

I happened to see it as well. 'Genocide'? A little bit of hyperbole there. That said I hope they deport the Islamist nut job... He's an African migrant with a grudge about Italy's Mediterranean asylum issues as far as I can tell Jim, not Islamist. The thread being so bizarre it's easy to get the wrong idea. It could've been a good and valid one, if accurate, and put up about 18 hours or so earlier than started.

For someone who keeps on telling me they don't care you don't half keep waffling.

There are many attacks by extreme Muslims around the world, far out numbering any other group, on various other religions and none causing countless deaths... (though Muslims are also attacked)...hardly any of them are reported upon by the Beeb. Yet I get to listen to how I and others shouldn't be cynical as to how the BBC treats this issue.

His deeply troubling criminal history should've precluded him from driving a school bus in the first place. There are calls to grant the boy, of Egyptian heritage, Italian citizenship and to revoke the citizenship of the bus driver. Edited by dollardays (22 Mar 2019 3.17am)

The New Zealand prime minister was correct. Publicity adds fuel to the fire of wannabe terrorists. I applaud the BBC and other outlets who try to put the fire out, rather than adding to it.
