Fact : The World University Rankings see the americans go from strength to strength. But London is still important. Chicago has a good university but the city itself is nearly sinking in a sea of debt and decay.

i always thought the 'Benefit Cap' would move unproductive elements out of London and off to places like Stoke-on-Trent. thus bolstering the London housing supply and hence its labour supply. certainly West Norwood is far more gentrified now than 25 years ago. But that was when the telly news described the local Building Society as having the highest number of armed robberies per year ( 20+ robberies if i recall correctly). i always wondered why the staff there looked so jumpy when i reached into my jacket to get a chequebook. It will come with time; there are already certain restaurants and bars popping up in Lewisham/Deptford which are packed with professionals every night.

I sold my car within a year of moving to Lewisham which tells you all you need to know about the traffic. Waste of time.

Britain as a whole will go the same way as immigrant populations outbreed us and slowly make more demands and dictate our politics to an increasing extent.

As I have said before. We are the Neanderthals in this scenario. It is about sheer numbers and the train of migrants will never stop.

It seems as if politicians have already surrendered to the certainty of the extinction of the European.

What you are talking about is different. You are talking about the middle class taking over previously working class areas...Something almost as bad....Anyway something that just pushes the problem elsewhere.

London is falling because demographics don't lie. You'll be pushed out eventually because you are the minority in London......probably when some more lefty than neo liberal government gets in.
