This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

I went to the town centre a couple of weeks ago, first time in years...it seemed pretty run down.

And I wouldn't like having to be around the station after dark.

As for Worthing football...I took my Under 18's team there some years ago and a spectator pulled a knife on one of my players after the game !

My wife has said that it has been and is continuing to be improved.
My reaction was "You cannot polish a tu.d"

My mum moved from Bermondsey to Abbeywood, she said it was like moving to the country. Then from Abbeywood to St. Paul’s Cray with me and my older sister, again said it was like moving to the country. We are hoping one day that she will move to the actual country.
St Paul’s Cray was rough in the 80s and still is ,30 years ago we had to avoid packs of stray dogs and cars full of Pikies. All the rough pubs have gone now, but I go down there for pie and mash , we do the council contract in St Paul’s Cray. Like Plumstead and Abbey Wood, rough but hold a lot of memories and places with something about them , unlike some of the sterile ‘new towns’.

Littlehampton is far from salubrious and a trip to the drab shopping centre sees one pass a whole host of undesirables. Not a pleasant experience at all.I certainly have NO desire to visit any of the pubs, apart from the 'Arun View' which has been recommended to me by a few people !
Nearby Wick is not much better.

I would agree but having lived and worked for many many years in the areas i listed it's so sad to have to say these things about them,

Thamesmead/Abbey Wood. I managed a bookies there and a young child, 9 at the most, rode a pony into the shop!

Wasn't 'Clockwork Orange' filmed around there? I know theres a pikey camp by Sainsburys & they are starting to knock a lot of it down for 'regeneration' Thamesmead that is, not the camp(mores the pity)

Ha ha. Yeah we used to live in flats next to the railway tracks, always used to be gypsy horses in the communal gardens.
