Nothing to do with training that is total bollocks, just luck nothing more nothing less.

Haha don’t mention Roy and corners.

Harry Kane springs to mind.

Could be something going on in training but has Roy routinely presided over teams who cannot finish the chances they create? Not really.

Can you address composure in front of goal in a game situation by practice matches and drills? Not really.

The player is either a good finisher, or they aren’t. Stats don’t lie.

Hodgson is accountable however for picking the team and tactics. Based on form this year and some other horrendous misses, I wouldn’t want MacArthur getting on the end of that chance either way.

In fact I wouldn’t have him on the pitch, but Roy picks a lot on favoritism rather than form and that is definitely something he has always done, including for England.

McArthur is a brilliant player for us and to suggest that Hodgson has favourites is totally ridiculous and if Kane took a corner he had quite a few teammates watching him do it.

Do you think we are the only team to miss chances. If you watched Spurs v Leicester today they missed lots of guilt edge chances including Vardy having a penalty saved. The difference is the top sides like City today don’t as they have better players.

We beat them.

We must be a good club for a decent forward to come to, our lot always look to pass when there’s a shot available. A forward like Johnson in his prime would be on 20 goals already.

As muttered on MoD last night by IW - with Palace producing so many chances some team is going to get really battered soon.
Hopefully will all come good against our 'friends' from Sussex!

Hope so, as he or anybody else who starts to go on a goal scoring spree could be the catalyst to calm a few of their teammates nerves. Can't be easy to see so many chances going astray and then you popping up to have a go. One positive I think this major deficiency has a better chance of being fixed compared to our relegation rivals as we look stronger in other areas than them which they have to fix, such as creating chances and defence.

If Hodgson doesn’t have favourites, and thus picks on form, how do you explain players going through stretches of awful form never getting dropped?

So you reckon Harry Kane on corners was a master plan then do you?

That has tickled me no end.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

It will be a different team and approach in the FA Cup but I tend to agree with Wrighty in that Palace are about to give somebody a good dicking.....

Leicester 0 Palace 3 (again) Saturday 23rd Feb 2019, followed by a draw at home against United and then another away victory at Burnley.

Insightful counter argument as always.

We do seem poor on decision making. Yesterday there were several examples:

Macca shot should go across keeper.

Benteke didn’t need to take a touch before his shot - all that did was narrow the angle & give the keeper time to set himself.

Macca’s ‘big miss’ should’ve been a simple pass to PVA or Benteke.

There were several times where the ball came in low with Benteke the only target or up high when he wasn’t there. A quick look up could solve this though.

We rarely hit first time crosses either which allows defenders to sort themselves out rather than be heading towards their own goal when it comes in. Pape used to supply a few & even Ward too - perhaps AWB could swing em in rather than looking for Andros?

It’s frustrating that we can be so clinical against City, Spurs or Liverpool yet profligate against those teams around us.

Goal scoring is a talent, and aside from Zaha, we have no one on our team that has it.

Luka and Townsend can blast an occasional amazing goal, but no one has the skill to convert half chances or better with any regularity.

Aguero missed a tap in today, very similar to all the ones that we miss. Then he banged in three. We miss a tap in and that's the only chance we get.

2017 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Middlesboro
2018 Jan. (Sako) Palace 1 - 0 Burnley
2019 May (Batshuayi, Batshuayi, OG, Van Aanholt, Townsend) Palace 5 - 3 Bournemouth
2020 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Newcastle
