I'd take a cup win even if it meant relegation. We've never won anything of note. We'll never win the league. I don't care about the money of the premier league, I won't ever see any of it, none of us will. Fans get too carried away by the money for the club side of things. We'll be relegated again one day anyway, it's just a matter of when with relegation, not if. What's the point in it all if you don't want to actually win something? I agree winning things is more important than money but staying in the Premier League gives us the best chance of winning a cup.

prem is the priority but winning the cup is what it's all about. when we're 80, we won't look back and remember that glorious 11th placed finish when we got 42 points. we will remember -- if it happens -- grown men crying, crazy celebrations, joyous women & kids, hugging strangers, weeks of a warm inner glow from winning the cup.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

We had all that and more at the 90 semi at Villa Park - one of the finest cup days of my Palace life!

Villa Park 1990 can only be beaten by winning it. Saturday May 18th 2019 is Julian Speroni's 40th birthday. Who says the FA Cup's lost its romance?

4-3 You see, that semi was one of the best days of my life but mainly because it made up for the 2-0 loss to Saints in ‘76. That one hurt & I’m told I cried all the way home. The ups & downs of the cup are what make it special to me & I doubt that will ever change. Just need the tw@s in charge to put it back to 3pm on a Saturday.....
Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five! |

My thoughts exactly. I only have two things I want to fulfil before I depart this planet. To see palace win a major trophy and to shag Angelina Jolie. Neither are currently looking likely. You might have a chance with Angela Jolie. no spring chicken now.

Nothing can beat 4-3 Liverpool and winning the cup nowadays is not the same. We have missed the boat for the glory days. I have no idea why some fans would swap 5 minutes of Cup winning glory lite for a potential decade in the dreary, no one cares Championship but it takes all sorts. I wonder if Wigan are still living off their five minutes of fame at the bottom of the Championship?
