In fairness I think this would have been said in regards to how far Pep brought Sterling along in just one season. I'm sure he could do wonders for Wilf too (to an extent anyway )

I’m sure Pep would make him better, he only needs to be told to get his body over the ball when he shoots, then he won’t keep kicking it over the bar.
But even if they were interested, which they aren’t. With Sane and Sterling starting , how many wingers do they need on the bench? Think he’d be there 4th choice winger , getting a few cup games.
He’s doesn’t like Manchester either, since Moyes daughter left

You give Wilf space and he destroys teams, like against Liverpool. The problem is not Wilf, it is our lack of other attacking threat. Put Wilf in a top team and he will only have one person marking him and when you consider he can sometimes waltz through three defenders I think it says it all. I don't like it when he seems to get on his teammates backs, but I think it is genuine frustration that we're not doing better. I think some fans seriously undervalue Zaha. Mind you, there were fans a few years back saying they'd be happy for him to leave for 10/15m!!

I can't see him moving to Germany, or any other country, but it all comes down to his ambition in the end. If he is determined to play CL football then he will eventually have to leave, but if he just wants to play PL football with his home town club, then maybe this is enough (the money surely is).

If we do sell him then I want to know who these two players are that will get 15 goals and 15 assists when you consider Eriksen, Salah and Mahrez only got 10 assists each last season, and outside of Jamie Vardy no team outside the top 6 had a player with more than 12 goals (Luka had 10 and Wilf had 9 btw).

I think AWB is the one more likely to leave and he should command a sizeable fee in excess of £25 million (I don't want him to go either, but the lad is definitely going places).

Bored of the moaning now, he's done it for 5 years and hasn't really made him a better player. 50mil and I'd take it, we can replace him with that and invest in building a better squad.

No one has even asked or anything regarding Wilf for a year.

50m wouldn't get him anyway Palace would be fools to let him go for 25m basically due to contract clause with United getting 50%.

If he goes it would be 70+ and Dortmund wouldn't be paying that out

He is not worth anything near 70m. Especially on this seasons form. 50-60 max. No one will pay 70m+ for him. 50m is an insanely good return for an inconsistent player with average to below average goals and assists.

Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons.

His goals/assist per game ratio really isn't as bad as you suggest. Some key considerations:

1) He plays in a really mediocre goal-shy team. If the team finishes better he gets more assists. Similarly this stat is impeded by playing for a relegation straggler with limited possession per game. If he plays for a top club then naturally the stats go up as the team he is playing for are in the final third that much more. Additionally you can't triple mark him at a good side whereas he is constantly swarmed with us as they know they can, to a certain extent ignore Ayew etc.
2) He isn't a striker. Simply looking at goals returns (or even goals and assists) ignores the work he actually does. Let's cherry-pick a different arbitrary stat to prove why he's great instead. He is the 2nd most fouled player in the country behind Hazard. He gets us up the pitch and gives the defence a breather consistently with his ability to retain possession and win fouls under constant pressure from multiple players.

In a recent game many fans were complaining about Zaha's performance. I saw the highlights on MOTM and everything good involved Zaha. Even on a off day Zaha is still our best player.

If he does want to go we should let him as long as it is early in the summer window and for a good fee.

I' be gutted if he went - best player for us by a mile.

I still think he's worth keeping and wouldn't sell for less than 70m if he really wanted to go.

Exactly. Also, of the 5 penalties scored by Luka this season 4 were won by Wilf weren't they? Last season his record was 1 goal every 3 games. It's dipped this year, but I put that down to Bentenke being out as he was the perfect foil to Wilf last season with 5 assists to his name. Wilf is also generally involved in most goals we score, it's just that it is often not him that delivers the final assist. Key passes may be a more accurate stat, where he compares favourable against the likes of Mahrez, with Wilf having an average of 1.5 key passes per game (Mahrez has 0.8 and Eriksen has 1.8, for example). It is hard to equate Wilf's value based on stats though as just by being on the pitch he creates space for others. When he has been injured we have looked solid but lacking in creativity. I think many of us would like to see Meyer lining up alongside Wilf more often and this I think coupled with Tekkers returning could be a springboard for a strong second half of the season.

Genuinely difficult to form a clear opinion on this. On one hand I certainly wouldn't begrudge him a move and feel that it's needed for him to kick on in his career. Would be genuinely intrigued to see how damaging he could be playing for a huge side.

On the other hand I simply don't trust us to replace him and he leaves a huge hole in our team. The fact that he allegedly half the fee would go to United means we're looking at 25-35m max which certainly doesn't go as far as it used to and I doubt it will all go back into transfers anyway.

I'd hope that we'd buy a couple of young wingers from the Championship/overseas with the potential to grow rather than spunking loads on an established winger who might flop.

Wilf's price reflects his low conversion rate, it is actually a huge sum to pay for someone who would not necessarily side-foot the ball into an empty net from 6 feet.

And yet outrageously talented !!

Wilf commands respect in whichever move he decides upon or not, lack of goals is a consequence of creativity within the team generally although the team has got better technically as has Wilf this season. With Dortmund they have many technical players thats why they are 6 points ahead of Bayern and top of the Bundesliga having scored 45 goals.

This transfer rumour if true must be tempting for Wilf the question is to coin a phrase "home or away", which might be the decider does he for go all of what he has in the UK or take a chance abroad we will see.

My opinion is go for it , its his life , he has done a great deal for the Palace and owes us nothing but leaves with a potential golden goodbye of say 35 mil our halve of any transfer if 70 mil was agreed transfer figure
