Hi guys! Thanks to all of you for your recommendations. Didnīt want to ignite a discussion about different tastes .Just need a healthy underlay in the stomach for the following pre-match visits of The Holmesdale, Two Brewers and the Clifton Arms on match-day (where I will switch into liquid nutrition-mode). Usually I get brekfast in the Premier Inn but this time itīs not included. Anyhow, if anyone comes to Vienna, leave me a note so i can pay back by providing some recommendations for nice wine-inns! Tks to all of you and hoping that I wonīt get "fed-up" first time in the afternoon on match-day ...... COYP, Hannes.

Where you gonna go Hannes? Can we expect a full breakfast report afterwards?

As requested by GM please find below my full breakfast report. Please apologize for poor English/taste:
Chose the Breakfast Club as I was up early. Nice staff and no problems to find a free table as I was the first customer at 8:00am. Went for the "cabbie's breakfast" as this one didnīt include a tomato (am all but a tomato lover). Decent portion including sausage, eggs (scrambled as ordered), beans, two slices of bacon and loads of chips. Very delicious sausage with crispy skin, smaller portion of baked beans (which didnīt bother me), bacon could have been a little bit crispier but OK, scrambled eggs OK. A really big portion of chips, nicely deep-fried. So all in all good value for your money (around 7 quids, didnīt keep my invoice). Tragedy was that the chips were served already salted! This urged me later on my way to the ground to have stops for ales to fight my thirst. I swear (maybe not by heart) that this wouldnīt have happened if a little bit less salt had been added!!!!!!!

So thanks to all for your recommendations and no need to tell you that the most delicious part of the day was served later the day at Selhurst Park ...... Yes, and I still paid tribute to the salty chips after the game!

On the topic of breakfasts (or brexfasts if you prefer), had a full english on way home at the Wetherspoon's in Gatwick North.

The app is handy I saw I had missed the "extra" of black pudding so I ordered some as I was eating breakfast ...woosh piping hot black pud arrived within seconds (with a cheeky pint of Doom Bar).

Viva la technologie!!

Thank you Hannes. Any enjoyable read. I think you went to the right place in the end. The Cabbies Breakfast is a solid choice, although I'd prefer my breakfast potatoes to be in the form of a hash brown, rather than chips.

Pleased you had a good day!

Hannes is Austrian, so probably likes a hash very similar to bubble and squeak.

Cafe Rouge off CrystaL Palace Park do a scrumptious eggs benedict or scrambled egg with grated truffle for the more refined palatte, I tend to go for the quail's egg version on a bed of pureed mushroom all washed down with a green tea or one of their organic cordials, and there's always plenty of Palace fans in there tucking in.
