I would guess that, if this one goes through, we'll have trimmed about 100k-120k a week off the wage bill this window. interesting to see if this is to free up funds for other signings, or purely to cut costs. I'd guess the latter, but we'll soon find out.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

Always thought he had a good bit of quality about him so it'll be ashame to see him go if he does leave. However a player of his age really needs to be playing regularly and currently he's two injuries away from getting a chance in the first team. But we did all see what happened last year on the injury front!

Can we see if Ajax want him back and then offer cash plus him for Dolberg? Pretty please.

Well it would be sensible if we replaced him with a decent attacking midf ... what? Oh yes. Sorry, wrong club.

I guarantee you he will go on to have a long and successful career somewhere else because Ajax is a good academy. Not a Roy Hodgson player, but how long will Roy last after this season anyway? Parish sold Murray because a certain manager sanctioned it, but alas, he is not playing, and we have a wage issue. Thought FFS wanted more gametime which Pards wouldn't give him so he walked ?

No chance in the world Ajax would take him back and cash for Dolberg would have to be huge and suspect he would not be interested in joining us either. People tend to forget Riedewald did not have starting place at Ajax before he came. Originally posted by JohnB

I can't believe this. Do people really think Mikel wants to be here? Another mercenary, took big money from China. Can't possibly be PL league ready. He won't be on less than JR....should keep him

I think he could be a big player for us under a different manager. We should keep him.

He had one good game against man city last year, apart from that he's shown nothing in the odd chances he's had with the first team, or even the u23 games I've watched him in. Petsonally think he's hugely over-hyped because he came from Ajax.

It does matter in a lot of jobs because it wouldn’t be taken seriously for a reason. I heard Danny Dyer advertise his BBC royal ancestry programme ending with ‘Watch me do what they did’ or something rather than what he’d usually say. ‘Watch me do what they done’, probably because he had to say that rather than getting the ITV freedom to talk complete jibberish. Gibberish! Anyway. Sell. May as well. We can’t afford players of his value not even on the bench. Edited by Rudi Hedman (15 Jan 2019 10.22am)
