If he stays fit and plays, the experience will be great for him. He needs to play week in week out if he is ever gonna kick on. Players like Kaikai and Williams careers stalled because of not playing at a pivotal time in development for one reason or other. Honestly I think it’s a good level as well. His footballing ability can shine. I think he’d struggle at championship level right now. The standard is excellent, much better than when we were there. It was dreadful back then. The Championship as well as being technically a high standard is also every bit as physical as L1. It is a big ask to flourish at 18/19. If the club do get points deducted, like the other poster said it could make him in to a man. So many players stepped up when we were in that position.

If true then it makes sense for Blackpool as they will not be allowed to bring in players if they go broke and will have to sell so better to do it now. It will be tough for Kirby but as others have said it could be the making of him. A taste of life at the wrong end may inspire him to force his way into our first team next season.

If Kirby does end up going to League One, I think I'd rather he go to Charlton than Blackpool. Charlton are chasing promotion and are closer, so it'll be easier to keep tabs on his progress, while Blackpool's facilities are borderline Conference tier because the Oystons refuse to invest any money in the club, and I don't think the shoddy training facilities there will benefit Nya in any way. Toxic club, feel for the fans. The Oystons are a bunch of obnoxious bullies, the father is a convicted evil rapist. Why the f*** are we loaning him there? Poor move on our part

Not sure if this post is a dig at the club or manager but surely the decision is down to the manager. Considering Roy has only been here for a considerable short time I've been impressed that he's already demonstrated his desire to play young players if they're good enough hence AWB playing.

Well Kirby was on the bench for Blackpool today, but didn't play. Makes sense seeing as he only joined yesterday, and needs a few days to get to grips with the tactical approach at the club. As long as he does start playing, it's all good.

Kirby finally made his debut off the bench for Blackpool today. Not sure how he did after coming on though.

From the snippets I’ve read, he and another sub who came on at the same time made a difference, leading to an equalising penalty. It may have been for a foul on Kirby - not sure - but apparently he was determined to take the spot-kick but a Blackpool team-mate ‘wrested the ball from his grasp’.
