Another example of Steve Parish's PR overdrive protecting the poorer elements of the club through undeserved fan sympathy.

He's never been one of my own: his performances since the back end of Pardew's reign (another one built up as being one of our own) have been shocking. He's also given weight to the rumours of him being handy at home by taking his belt to someone at 2am in a nightclub the weekend of a match.

Overall, not a captain, not the best representative of Palace and certainly not worthy of the esteem granted by SP's PR spin.

Hopefully he can help Thuggersfield side/back pass their way to the championship.

How about: ‘ayewevergoingtoscoreagoal’? Oh no; hold on...

How so? He has hardly played for us, and his wages will be off the books. Also, if he does well for Huddersfield, it could help drag Newcastle and Cardiff into more trouble in the next couple of months.

So you're suggesting that if Huddersfield can close the gap on Newcastle and Cardiff, or overtake them, that will somehow help Palace. I don't see how. It would just mean that there's no longer one relegation place already booked.

Hes slipped down Roys pecking order and hasn't had much of a look in for a while now. Cant blame him wanting more game time. I seem to remember the same thing happening with Glen Murray ... except it wasn't a loan (unfortunately).

Yes, isn't that obvious? It would potentially allow them to take points off relegation rivals. If Huddersfield manage to overtake us from where they are now, we will deserve to go down.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

I see that Punch had his first run-out for Huddersfield yesterday, in the 0-1 FA Cup defeat at lower-league Bristol City.

What if Punch, on loan to Huddersfield, scores in the final game to keep Huddersfield up, but consigns Palace to the Championship?

And then returns to Palace from his loan !

He was a good for first couple of years and helped us avoid relegation but didn't contribute much after that.

Kinda lost respect after the belt incident and his refusal to go out on loan earlier

Think his last goal might have been in the Cup Final

Pards kept him afloat in the team after that as he looked well short performance wise the next season but was always in the team. Days were numbered then. Roy clearly does not think he is up to speed for the 1st team as he has hardly figured.

Good luck to him, been a great player for the club. That must have been tough for him yesterday against Bristol City.

Well he’ll be used to defeat at Ashton Gate. He lost there in a Palace shirt last season.

Won't happen but can't anyway as he will be excluded from their lineup as usual condition of a loan.
