Hennessey has to return against his old club. Guaita was at fault yesterday and the De Bruynne goal was an absolute joke. Also put Kaikai and Williams on the bench so we have a different set of options to Puncheon.

With due respect, you are mad. Or you are Wayne Hennessey.

I think Vicente will prove to be the better keeper, but he hasn't yet provided definitive evidence of this. Wayne has been motm in at least a couple of games this season, so I think that's a bit disrespectful. Also, Wayne deals with back passes a hell of a lot better than VG, who seems to be adapting to the English game in this regard.

For what it's worth, I'd just swap Meyer in for Schlupp:

VG

AWB Tomkins Sakho PvA

Townsend Kouyate McArthur Luka Meyer

Zaha

I doubt Wickham's body is up for more than another 30 minutes having already made two appearances in a week (I would start him otherwise).

It is all a bit Jekyll and Hyde at the moment with one game Roy being hailed a tactical master and the next an out-of-touch war horse. Given how much our game relies on Roy's careful planning and the drilling of players I doubt we're suddenly going to make big changes other than a couple of changes in personnel.

Can't not start Wickham, if you are fit enough to be on the bench then you are theoretically fit enough to start. He needs to be seen to push for at least 60 minutes now, won't be able to do that if he is sub every week. Plus with Wolves massive back 3 we will have no chance with Zaha up front. He doesn't want to play there, it's clear. I don't see how Roy can play him upfront again after he's shown massive disinterest in playing there - let's see how big Roy's balls are as I would drop him after his attitude against Cardiff and Chelsea.

Guaita

AWB Sakho Tomkins PvA

Kouyate Luka

Zaha Meyer Townsend

Wickham

This is the team I want to see. However, suspect that it will be Zaha up front again with Schlupp and McArthur in for Wickham and Meyer.

A Wickham firing on all cylinders would be great but I'm not sure he is ready for 90 minutes. If that is the case, do you start him and look to withdraw him after, say, 60 minutes? Or, do you bring him on to make an impact in the 2nd half.

My choice would be to start him and hopefully give him the chance to do some damage early on rather than bring him on when we are chasing the game.I somehow suspect though, that he'll be on the bench again.

Incidentally, I had a dream last night where we lost 8-0 at Wolves. OK, pretty unlikely.

Has Wickham ever fired on all cylinders though??

He scored:
11 in 74 at Sunderland
13 in 65 at Ipswich!

8 in 11 at Sheffield Wednesday as a 20 year old in the championship isn't a bad record.

Give him the first 45 and Sorloth the second 45. It’s honestly can’t be worse than Zaha up front. Getting Zaha back in his proper position is the single most important thing we can do.

Yep. Seeing Wilf out of place due to the manager's incompetence is frustrating. Roberto Carlos also had the same moan so it's not a one off.

A striker that scores better than one in seven. That’s the stuff of dreams for Palace
