Any other Athletico Mince fans on here? The recent introduction of Roy on there is quite something.

I loved the brief skit of the 'British Managers Club'. Made me laugh that most of the members had recently managed palace.

Taken a while to come to this conclusion seeing as they have been on TV for almost 30 years

Disliked them from the word go. I merely raised the point as it seems they're back on television again.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

My absolute favourites, from when my dad first had Shooting Stars on when I was 10, up until now. Bob especially.

Well, quite. But then again, my view on this was never going to be in accord with one of your particular orientation.

That one sentence has made me feel very old.

However, I also used to enjoy Shooting Stars, more so than most of their sketches. Always found Bob more bearable than Vic.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

I love Vic and Bob and I hate Cucking Funt - they were on last night, if you can't appreciate the David Attenborough sketch and Steetrunners then you are missing out - but maybe your taste is Ken Dodd, Mrs Brown or Jim Davidson? each to their own

I see that biting satire isn't your forte

Strange thing is, I find them funny apart, shooting stars aside, which I thought was brilliant in its day, I’ve always found their stuff together awful.

I think ex hibitionist’s type of humour is standing in a jester’s outfit in front of a group of cross legged children at a birthday, going ‘I’m a little pixey’ or ‘I’m a little teapot’, a bit like that odd looking tree hugger in that protester clip that says something about killing the planet.
