Brighton want to buy him and we want to loan him. Apparently he'll make his decision in the next 48 hours. Edited by DeanMiles (28 Dec 2018 11.46pm)

Solanke has scored 1 goal in the premiership is an untested striker is this what we need. May as well promote one of our own. Van Bissaka got the chance and has not looked back. Just a thought

Would rather we get a proven goal scorer (from Europe) but it’s good to have options- as Ayew and Sorloth are both piss poor and especially given Benteke’s poor form and Wickham’s injury record.

I see that he is injured just now so should be ideal for us.

If last year is anything to go on, loftus cheek was unproven but doing well within the England setup and was undoubtedly a talent. Solanke is the same. I would rather get someone like him than another European player untested in the league. That said, I still like the sound of batshayi

Solanke might be something in the future, but don't expect wonders if he comes now. Liverpool had another one last year- Jerome Sinclair-, loaned him to Watford in the Premier League. he to was doing well for the national youth teams. Do you know more about him today? You post some good information on here at times but you also post some s***. this comes into the latter category

To say that all 20 year olds are dull is such a sweeping statement. Solanke when I've watched him play looks like he has that extra bite and aggression that we are lacking, with a touch of class. It's the same kind of spark I thought I saw in wickham the other night actually, they seem to want it more than these other lacklustre strikers we are used to. Solanke looked good when I've seen him play for Liverpool. If your good enough your old enough. Too much talk of protecting young players lately and sheltering them, not expecting too much of them too soon. It's bulls***. English young players are sheltered and sat on the bench while foreign youngsters are bought over for shed loads of money and played in the first team straight away. The only way you get these breakthrough players is by playing them. I think solanke, if we are to loan in a striker, is one of our best bets

Edited by mattteo (29 Dec 2018 4.33pm) My understanding is that Liverpool loaned Sinclair to Wigan when Malky Mackay was the manager.Liverpool then sold the player to Watford, when Mazzari was the manager, for a sum of a few million pounds but I cannot remember the exact details. The player is now on loan at Sunderland. He certainly doesn't have a goalscoring record of any note.

Is there really nobody apart from youngsters/bench warmers/squad players hovering around the top 6 on a loan deal such as Moses and this bloke ? Solanke has scored 1 PL goal on the last day of the season against the Weeds (this might work a little in his favour). Hopefully we are not just fishing in this little pond.

Edited by DeanMiles (28 Dec 2018 11.46pm) Think he may come our way due to chances of playing. He will be behind Muzza and Andone at the Weeds. More likely to play 2 up front here than there, altho Tekkers will get the boots back in Jan.

When was the last time a 20 year old loanee did that in the PL?? Tammy Abraham was decent, but still had problems, like it's normal for any 20 year old, and Abraham seems to me like an even better prospect than Solanke
