Doesn't boss the midfield
Passes going astray
losing possession
one of his shots was miscued terribly
I can go on...

Fair play for going up there mate. But one poor performance among another 10 poor performances doesn’t make him a poor player. Zaha was useless the 2 games before the arsenal game. Meyer is decent and if played enough will be one of the first on the team sheet. .

Whatever the amount available is in January, the more pertinent question is do we trust the club to spend it wisely ?

think we shouldn't offer long contracts - we've had our fingers burnt with too many players left on our books when a manager leaves.

The budget for January is of course confidential and any figures quoted will be pure speculation.

The buck stops with Freedman (& Parish) WTF is Freedman doing to earn his money?

Back in the championship days, when we were struggling to stay afloat and hardly had a pot to piss in, Freedman's recruitment was amazing and he built a good squad with very little. Unfortunately he has not proved able to do this at premiership level. And even though he has had money to spend most of our signings have been extremely underwhelming. Perhaps Parish needs to take his red and blue glasses off and get a new recruitment head in.

I have 2 words to describe Freedman's reign at this club.

Rakip and Jach.

End of story.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

The money available will partly depend on who we offload via sale or loan.
This will free up wages and funds.
Looking at Roy’s selections this season it would suggest Puncheon,Soare,Riedawald,Kai Kai and Williams could be available.
Obviously not all can go or we can’t make up a squad, but I think three could go to allow one loan and one purchase.
The team is looking reasonably solid but the glaring need is for a out and out goalscorer.
Doesn’t have to be a target man, link up player, brilliant footballer...just somebody who can put the ball in the net.
None of our strikers are clinical and we only usually create two or three chances a game so it becomes even more important to have a reliable finisher.

Sigh - I wouldn't bother getting your hopes up with the January transfer window. It tends to be even more disappointing then the summer transfer window.

I would like to see us blood more academy players. That's where the talent seems to come from, instead of buying expensive players who bulk our wage bill and mean we have no money to spend on any real quality.

We have a shop, we can sell, but all our products are s***e, so I doubt we will be able to flog off most of the crap we have.

We are starting to look like Sunderland.

Beginning to beleive with a striker that get a decent one. Give him a year max on silly money.
Sink or swim with no long term commitment.
If he proves it by the end of the season or half way next season and we are safe or look safe then reward him with a bit more.
If he goes then so be it.
Its the back and middle that need to have longevity
Strikers need to find the ball when its put in.
There are plenty who will do a year on dopey money.
Knowing they are in the shop window. Or to get an extension on silly dough.
