Ignoring for the moment RH's reluctance to use substitutes, he prepares the team well and he can't be responsible for those individual events that have cost us points. But there doesn't look to be any light at the end of the tunnel at the moment. I certainly get where the OP is coming from. After 6 seasons in the Premier League we haven't progressed to the point where we look capable of avoiding an annual relegation battle. You could argue that it all adds to the excitement, typical Palace etc., but I for one hoped that this season would be different. I still believe there will be three teams below us come the end of the season but at the moment I feel as tired and dejected as Roy looks at the moment.

I think that we are trying to play in a way when we don't have the players to do it.

This is the longest we have spent in the top flight. That has to be good. If we get relegated I might totally lose interest as I did in the mid eighties when we were total s***e but I won't know until it happens. I do know that time becomes more precious as you get older and I don't want to waste it on a club with no ambition. I have given them plenty of time already.

I work in an office that's festooned with TV screens permanently tuned to BBC News 24. Guess what they're showing four times an hour?

The thing that's really got me down this season is the lack of atmosphere and cohesion in the fans. Absolutely toxic at the minute. We've always been s***, and I'm fine with that, but before I would still have a great time jumping about and singing. No one joins in at the minute, and I'm finding it difficult to enjoy at the minute. Also, we took less that 2k to Everton yesterday, probably around 1k. Shocking turnout, and I feel actually a bit embarrassed. I've also managed to buy Chelsea away tickets, whilst have 3k points... what has happened to us?

Been going since 1969 but a bit of palace left me when my E block seat was taken away from me, without the option of reapplying to stay in the singing section. I'm in exactly the same boat and feel exactly the same. The block E fiasco has ruined it for me, all the crap we've had to endure through the years. So like you nuts to them.

I believe it was a combination of the game being on SKY ,and a long trip on a Sunday for a late kick-off with supporters having to go to work the next day.I suspect that with a 3.00 PM Saturday kick-off many more would have made the trip.
