Mind you he (Dixon) didn't do to well with Dirk Bogarde (The Blue Lamp).

Here's a photo of him receiving his bravery award, which is to be found on police social media

Apparently it's an offence not to help a police officer if required.

Unless you're wearing your stab vest and carrying your baton on your evening stroll, this case could be used as a defence by any others choosing to turn a blind eye.

Add to that those PCSO ponces who stood by while some bloke drowned.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I think you maybe referring to the child that drowned? That case was disgusting OK maybe they couldn't swim but they could have entered the water waist deep and at least tried to find his body. The police officer who turned up and dived in found his body almost immediately.

To make matters worst the coroner gave them a free pass. At the inquest a detective was allowed to represent them and give their evidence. What was the coroner thinking?

Coroner to detective: Were you present as a witness?
Detective no I am here to represent the PCSOS
Coroner: Get out of my court now and tell the PCSOS to attend tomorrow to give evidence or else.
