Actually you're probably much better off with Trinidad than you would be with the place named in its stead in the original German version of Toch's Fuge aus der Geographie (Geographical Fugue), which was Raciborz (Ratibor), a beastly little dump in southern Poland. Even the name is horrible. Edited by chateauferret (04 Oct 2018 9.41pm) There's a reason Trinidad isn't on any holiday shows - if you have to that way stop at Tobago.

See palace play a couple of rounds of competitive European football at Selhurst, not so much against the big European teams now because I doubt we’d get that far and it would only be europa league, but I’d be happy to see us play against famous old European teams from my youth, back in the 70’s and 80’s for example, Red Star Belgrade, Hadjuk Split, St Etienne, Borussia Munchengladbach, Ajax, Dinamo Kiev etc As a motor sport fan, I’ve done the British F1 GP and MotoGP several times, but I’d like to go abroad and do a few races, also I’d like to do the Indianapolis 500 in the states Always fancied joining the barmy army and doing every ashes test match down under And an old firm game!! I used to think it very unfair for opposing batsmen who had spent the week working in the shop or as a sparky or similar to have to face him at the weekend.

Inadvertently saw the Long Beach indy car race from the marina area. Buy the way, I have absolutely no interest in motor racing.

I used to retain Újpesti Dózsa (I’ve seen alternative spellings) in my mind as a potential quiz question answer. Primarily because they lost to Newcastle in the 1969 final of the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup - the forerunner of the UEFA Cup and then the Europa League. This was Newcastle’s last major trophy (not that we can shout, of course).
