Pret has decided that it can after all label it products properly. I wonder how their sales have been doing lately?

Anyway about time and I hope that other corporates follow suit.

I'd be amazed if their sales were affected at all.

They put their prices up recently. I think that would have more of an impact, as it's now above what I'm prepared to pay for a sandwich.

That's one of the advantages of working from home as I don't have to pay their silly prices

I'll give you that.

Regarding their prices, they're not nicknamed Pret a Mortgage for nothing.

I don't think they were naive about what was in it, they knew and had it labelled in the allergen folder but not on the actual product. As the law apparently allows.

to be honest, i have never knowingly eaten a pret in my life, but i know the food service industry & i could pretty much garuantee their bread is not “made” on site, it is probably “baked” on site but theres no way a buisness of that size is going to pay a baker for each site rather than buy in its bread frozen and pay somebody min wage to put it in the oven.

like i said, its either negligence by staff or poor staff training.

from what ive read this 2nd case is the fault of their suppliers not pret themselves.

Even the great Gordon Ramsay was caught serving food that was prepared off site
