Press reports say Wif is out for four weeks with groin injury. The plus side is that Huddersfield won’t be able to break his leg!

The other plus is that it will give Roy a chance to experiment over these next two weeks and beyond. Palace have plenty of good players and there is no reason why they can’t win without Wilf. A lot must be in their own minds. It will be a test of Roy’s management. One IMO he will pass.

Always remembering walking from the Holmesdale to the Whitehorse end at half time!

GK - Hennessey (has done next to nothing wrong this season so shouldn’t be dropped)
RB - AWB
CB - Tomkins (hopefully)
CB - Sakho
LB - PVA

CDM - Kouyate
CDM - Milivojevic

CM - Macca
CM - Meyer
CM - Townsend

ST - Ayew. He can’t possibly do any worse

A bit like Allison did at Liverpool!!!!!

One mistake and a GK. Is condemned for life - might as well hang up his boots!

IMO had Liverpool missed their second goal not only would it have been a miracle but I reckon Mane would be on the dole by now!

Even if Wayne H. has been playing well, with three losses on the trot Roy H. need a bit of shake-up. Like when Julian Speroni was our goalie first PL-win last season (2-1 Chelsea). Would like to see the Spaniard in goal as well as Kuoyate, Meyer and Ayew starting against Huddersfield (for Schlupp, Benteke and Zaha).

Would like to see us play Wilf and Andros up top like last season when they were so effective and we looked dangerous every time we broke. If no Wilf then play JA in his place.
As for Wayne - Made some decent saves and fully deserves his place

If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong

Not hard at all. I've not seen anything to make me think Sorloth is the answer, but I also know every player needs a good run of games to adjust to a higher level and get comfortable. Benteke isn't scoring, so unless Wickham is fit we have to give this lad a chance and who knows, genuine competition has worked wonders for Wayne, it may spur on Benteke.

Totally agree, we’re crying out for Wickham to get back match fit. Until then Sørloth should get a chance to show what he can do. Can’t be worse than Benteke and will hopefully fire a rocket up bentekes....

I think I've found out where Capoue learnt the tackle that almost crippled Wilf

I live relatively close to Berinsfield. It’s best feature is the road back home.

If that's the case, we'll still be on 3 points into October and the relegation battle will be on again.

There's no excuse for a team to lose 13 matches in a row without one player, no matter how good he is. It's pathetic.

The stars feel like they’re aligning for a struggle again, but one we should be able to survive, as long as Wilf isn’t out for any length of time. (For me it’s a case of we will/should with him, but will we without him, not we should because we can’t really claim we should right now imo) Fingers crossed.

What´s about the groundsman? Think WH was one of the least to blame for the three losses!

Wayne has arguably come back showing his best form in a Palace shirt so to drop him now would be a big smack in the chops for him. I'm keen to see what Guiata can do, but he wouldn't have changed the results in my opinion. Without Wilf in the team we need Kouyate and Meyer to add some attacking threat and hopefully Ayew with a bit more fitness training under his belt can offer a new option. I'm pretty sure Roy will go with Ayew and Sorloth up top, and I'm pretty sure that won't be pretty.
