Out - Cabaye, Ruben & Sako.
In - Meyer, Kauyate.

Injuries apart, right now I wouldn’t say out team was stronger than last year. About on par I would say, although Ruben was on loan so that being considered there’s more longevity.

I think if we had Tammy Abraham and or Ruben then we will have significantly strengthen. This being said I’m generally happy with the transfer window.

Transfer window is still open......

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I can’t see us doing a Leicester but if we can get a decent start, and we are going to need one given our favourable opening fixtures, I don’t see why we can’t do well. If Meyer is half the player we are led to believe and Benteke gets his mojo back we might even push for top 8. Hopefully we will bring in one or two more on loan before the end of the window to strengthen the squad and we won’t lose anybody vital to our success at the last minute.

mid table but need to see if we bring in or more go out in transfer window first.

I do think it is going to be a hard year a lot of teams based on spending and squad look tough

...wipes crystal ball.....the mist is clearing.....I see one manager for the whole season....15pts out of the first 7 games.....Benteke out on loan....6th at Christmas...out of the cup to a Div 1 side....beat City but lose to Cardiff....nasty scenes at the Amex(that's a given)....strong final run in to scrape into the Europa League

Winning isn't everything. Without the defeats we would not value the victories. Still, it's a shame we can't play Chelsea every week.

Probably between 12th and 18th most of the season, then a late run to finish in the top half. Preferable to mid table and finishing 18th of course!

Mid-table mediocrity is a dead cert.
As boring as hell for some fans but good for the bean-counters/bed-wetters.
Personally i'd like to see us surpass the '0pts in 7games' us go for 8 losses from the off (despite the added workload for our mods!) and march on to glory from there.

Far more interesting

Agreed, win against the teams around us, lose to a team that just plays better than us on the day and throw in a good cup run!
