Like others, would like to see him with us but think quoted £20m to steep esp with his recent injury problems. CB may need to move on but cannot see anyone paying what we did for him. £12m plus add ons to £15m may be more like it, but hey what do I know?

if we do get Ings we would have to ask Wickham to move over to make room on the treatment table

If Benteke is worth £30 million then surely Ings must be worth £20 million. I seem to remember that we tried to sign Ings before he went to our feeder club.

Remember Parrish saying that he did sit down with the Bournemouth chairman after we played them at their place in the club restaurant and discussed a transfer for Ings to Palace. Bournemouth chairman told Parrish he wanted half a mill for him and Parrish felt this was overpriced for an unproven striker. He later went to Burnley for just 1 million where he joined up again with Eddie Howe. The rest is history.

After Benteke's spectacular form if we are seriously interested in Ings (I can't think of any reasons why we would be personally). Why do we keep going back to the bindippers who always value all their players through red-tinted glasses, its like once you have been through Melwood its as good as being given a Royal Warrant!!

Rondon valued at £16.5m with talk of Newcastle proposing straight swap with Gayle. His release clause was and is known publicly since June. We were not linked at all with Rondon, which is frankly ridiculous. He is well suited to play our system and has all the aggression and willingness to break a sweat that CB doesn't have. But then again: Evans (3 mil), Ki (free), Wilshere (free), and Fredericks (free). We're absolutely pants at knowing the market. All we know is throw bags of money at Liverpool. I think Steve Parish's idea of scouting is pulling up the Liverpool wiki page and sorting the players by 'minutes played last season'. We then go on and bid 20-30 for their least used player.

no way on gods earth is danny ings worth £20m...i know the market it saturated with average expensive players but i would be very dissapointed if this deal went ahead. especially as we dont need anymore strikers of that ilk.

The three above will all have had a choice of where to go and Palace would not have been top of their list Kelly was a relatively good pickup from Liverpool as would Ings be if we can rely on fitness and the price is lower. However, I agree that Parish rolling over again and giving Liverpool the asking price at the end of the window is a stale record. Hopefully, the backlash he has received on this gets noticed.
