If he gets his head down and works hard and delivers on his promise then I think this would not just be a coup for us but possibly the deal of the transfer window for the whole PL. If we could get Antonio from West Ham as well then we would carry a massive threat.

I’ve watched him various times I’m sure others have. He has the potential to be a special, special player. EXACTLY the right idea. I’m crossing everything this is actually true. What a signing this will be.

He's great behind the centre forward, but was terrible as a central midfielder (what they wanted him to play the past year) in my opinion.

I know you can't rely on youtube videos to give an accurate impression of a player but he does appear to have excellent vision, awareness and weight of pass. Reminds me of Cabaye when he was at Newcastle (not the slightly aged and slower version we saw)

I don’t think he will. Roy’s system uses narrow wide midfielders as oppose to out and out wingers and are therefore perfect positions for number 10 type players like Meyer. I’d suspect he’ll slot straight into where RLC was last season. A position that allows him to be creative and come inside. With Meyer in the team, the constant chasing of a secondary holding midfielder all of a sudden makes more sense.

Agree with Mattteo, he needs to play as a 10, he's too small and not physical enough for CM. Would be a fantastic signing although rumours of £137k a week wages ... guess he's free so that makes up for a chunk of that though and IF he excels we're looking at a huge resale value.
