In the run under the new manager he played 10 games was averaging a goal every 201 minutes. Is that really that bad considering the state Swansea was in. It's actually 1 in every 2.3 games. Read the link and it sounds as if he was there only hope... Recon he could come good for us and turn out a bargain. His stats improved vastly under the new manager. Really popular with the Swansea fans and that’s good enough for me. They had an awful spell when he was out of the team with suspension and lost all the games. His proper versatility suits us very well. This is a really good move for us.

This could be a very smart buy, very fast , tricky dribbler and can play all 3 front positions well. Cracking player.

I rate Jordan Ayew,i certainly wouldn't be disappointed with signing. This could be a very good window guys.

Before he came to England, I was actually a fan of his. But during his time here, has been really disappointing for whatever reason. Hoping we can reinvigorate his career and Roy can get the best out of him. Although I tend to agree with mattteo that proper scouting could identify far more attractive prospects for the money. Is what it is I suppose, but the one thing that would make this deal definitely unattractive is Riedewald going the other way. The fact he’s even linked and has supposedly personally declined is disappointing in itself. Undoubtedly has the potential to be a great player and was really looking forward to him furthering his development this season. Players like Riedewald are the ones we need to keep andmanage properly as they are the ones to progressively address our squad depth issues for years to come. He wouldn’t look out of place as a starter and he’s still very young. He’s a must keep. Edited by Mstrobez (01 Aug 2018 11.14pm)

Although I see what you’re saying, must keep is a bit of an exaggeration. However, the players coming in are more of a priority and will make Riedewald’s apps seem minuscule in comparison. We don’t have loads of money so that’s how it is. I also think Roy sees him Riedewald as less mobile to what he wants. Just look at who we’ve signed. They all make Riedewald look like a table top footballer in comparison.

OK, I'm highly likely to be wrong (very wrong) but wanted to float this theory past you all to see what you think. Most of you will have read about our potential link with Josef De Souza from Fenerbache over the last few weeks. That deal (should it be real) is only because his current club find themselves in a difficult situation with FFP and need to offload before bringing more players in. Having lost most of their forwards since the end of last season, their manager, Phillip Cocu has said he is desperate to bring in forwards, meaning they are forced to let go of their midfield talent. So why have I bothered mentioning this? Well maybe, just maybe we are becoming the go between for Jordan Ayew and Fenerbahce. Probably a ridiculous idea but the Turkish team have already loaned in Andre from Swansea and with their financial restrictions in place, a player exchange would be more preferable.. as it could be for us. Maybe I've just lost my mind with the heat or maybe I just like a good story but whatever, was just a thought I had, no evidence or anything, just a theory. They get the Ayew brothers without spending anything, we get Josef and Swansea get Jairo. All clubs with financial limitations mutually better off in the end.
