I thought we had a really good transfer window, but aren’t we a bit light on wide cover. He had his chance, not good enough and injury prone.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Bakary Sako' by bexleydave its a no from me. He was offered and didn't want us. I don't want him either on that basis. I'd rather see Kaikai be given a chance. Sullay had a decent pre season and needs to grow now in the first team. Parrot

Why? He turned down a contract renewal from the club, on reduced terms. He only had such a generous contract because he came in as a free. Are you seriously suggesting we should've upped his terms?
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Bakary Sako' by bexleydave Seems like a classic case of a player listening to a bad agent. He is one hell of a player when he is fit and motivated. as part of last season showed but what motivated him?....a potential new contract with Palace or being in the shop window for another club with possibly more £££'s to pay. Either way it questions his attitude and that along with ability makes great players of which I am afraid he is not. A NO from me.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Bakary Sako' by bexleydave Sako is looking at 80k per week - no way will he get that at Palace or anywhere else. Every week he is a free agent and club less is costing him. He should wise up and accept the 50k per week Palace offered.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Bakary Sako' by bexleydave I think he'd be a great little back up signing if we're still saying the original offer is on the table. No one knows if the money has gone elsewhere now (possibly Meyers wages) so it could well be a case that he's already contacted the club and said he'll take it now but the ship has sailed. I can't imagine he wouldn't be willing to accept now the transfer window has closed and no one else is in for him. He was probably hoping the rumours were true and Zaha would go and we wouldn't sign anybody but we're in a much better position now and he would do well to be part of our club. After last season I'd take him still. Townsend hasn't been injured in ages and probably could do with a rest. Also when everyone's fit we could do worse than Zaha/Sako/Townsend upfront.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Bakary Sako' by bexleydave We weren't good enough in the summer so it's his loss not ours. I'm surprised someone like a Turkish side has offered him bucks to mess around over there.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Bakary Sako' by bexleydave If it is true that we offered him £50k per week, and assuming that no one is paying him, he is already running c£350k behind which seems a lot of money to me. Doesn't look like he got very good advice from his agent!
