Well as it stands Colombia are now top of the group with Japan 2nd.

Makes the thought of England coming 2nd for an easier route change a bit maybe ..

It does but I still would prefer 2nd.

I want us to win every game we play & if we are scared of a particular team we have problems. Change the team for sure but go for the win.

That was crap. congratulations southgate, england have a loss on their record and you’ve killed the momentum by playing such a crap team. I’d much rather have played japan than colombia- did they learn nothing from hodgson’s mistake 2 years ago? Played a weakened team and lost the momentum.

You’ve just watched a reserve game mate.

None of those outfield players apart from stones will start v Columbia. Columbia have a 4 day break and we’ll have a 9 day break.

If we get past Colombia, a quarter final against Sweden/Switzerland is worth the risk.

No surprise both teams took the same approach tonight.

It's the only way! On another note, this Brazil side is so poor compared to teams of previous tournaments. The likes of Rivaldo, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Carlos would make the likes of Neymar look distinctly average if they were still playing. It's easy to overdo it when talking about dodging Brazil, but the second place route to the final is clearly the better path.

Goals for Brazil;

Rivaldo - 74 caps, 35 goals
Ronaldo - 98 caps, 62 goals
Ronaldinho - 97 caps, 33 goals

Neymar - 88 caps, 56 goals

Admittedly he's had a slow tournament so far, but it's ridiculous to label him average on the basis of 3 games.

He's also streets ahead in terms of personal and team achievements at club level, considering his age - by the time he retires he will have left them all far behind by any comparable measure.

No-one likes to see England lose but it’s a great result for us in my opinion. If we wanted to win this match would we really have played Alexander Arnold and told him to take the corners? He was so far out of his depth it was untrue.

I'd rather play Colombia, they will be favs, we got a good record against them, James is crocked and they looked rubbish against Sweden. Still playing Falcao who is well past it

Senegal you mean?

A good performance against Colombia will we needed - they are a strong technical and physical side.

With some players probably ready to prove a point too!

But key players will be back and hopefully we can provide Kane with enough chances.

Then a good looking quarter final potentially.

But its England so something is bound to go wrong!
