There was no assumption whatever. Completely made up. Good honest pub chatter. E.g. the French lad has apparently signed for sampdoria.

So, in summary, the messy Guaita transfer theory is that he signed a pre-contract agreement to join the club on a free, he then joined the club and this was made official at the sort of time that we might have expected it to, ie: in time for pre-season training. Can someone please explain what is messy about that bit of transfer business?

I think you miss my point ME, this is probably what the Palace Board had in mind all along for this transfer. They took a calculated risk by not paying for a player that would come on a free a short time later. Yes, it was a risk, however once we knew this was the scenario that was likely to pan out then it has happened exactly as we thought. There is no hindsight to this, it was as expected, hence my remark. The only people putting a spanner in the works in terms of clarity have been the media, which was then been regurgitated to death by the click bait media and to a large extent on these boards.

Fare the well, Wayne. Its been a long old road with a Hen-detta on most fans minds during most of it. Hennessey actually came good towards the end of last season, but its too little, too late. I absolutely cannot wait to have a stopper between the sticks that can win us 10 to 15 points a season. Please let this be the end of the goalkeeper fiasco since Jules, and let King Vicente reign for many years to come.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

Wayne is still with us and, at the moment, how does anyone know how "King Vicente" is going to perform in the PL? Also how can we be sure he is not likely to get injured. So goodbye Wayne is a little premature until the action starts.
