The question is did the bouncer keep the belt and is it on Ebay yet. Apart from that this case has just made JP look like a idiot.

Have to say I don't really want a player with a criminal conviction for violence either as club captain or indeed a player. It sends the wrong message, we are a club with strong sense of community and what kind of example it it to younger fans?

Looks like the judge is a Palace fan. He said Puncheon had no defence

The club might get out of the last year of his contract. Of course we would need a replacement

Roy has him behaving like a good boy apparently so you shouldn’t have any more concerns.

There is a strong rumour Palace are in for Jack Wilshire that would make a difference. Could be just that a rumour. That would be a belter of a signing

Puncheon's lawyer Sallie Bennett-Jenkins QC said he was acting in self-defence after claiming someone had attempted to strike his wife, and that his friend had been punched, but this was dismissed by Judge Michael Snow. Embarrassing that he tried to lie his way out if it. Just admit you acted like a complete tit and take your punishment.

Hopefully a revitalised Punch next season. Unfortunately a court cannot sentence you to find out what a right foot is.......

Why do the articles only confirm his actions, rather than what actually happened. Did he just get pissed and take his belt off and start waving it about bashing randoms?

But that's the point of threads like this! Know the bare facts but make sweeping judgements and condemn people out of hand without any first hand knowledge. Sadly that’s the way British society works nowadays.
Always remembering walking from the Holmesdale to the Whitehorse end at half time! |

Sounds like some guy wanted to buddy up. When Punch wasnt interested the guy said he was crap anyways. Escalated later when they were leaving. All on CCTV so how Puncheon thought he was getting away with it who knows. Maybe thought he was on pitch and there was no VAR
