The reason solicitors and various other legal representatives procrastinate so continuously combined with pointless nit picking could be something to do with the hourly rate they charge. Or maybe I'm being silly.

I found that nauseating too. It's a glib management speak cliche that they've issued without any thought. It makes them look stupid. Do they really need to 'learn' that making up false allegations about fans carrying knuckledusters and knives is unprofessional? Is the fact that they got easily caught out lying going to be one of those 'lessons learned'? If these are aspects of policing that they are still learning, you wonder why they were ever appointed for the job in the first place. There must be more intelligent, experienced and wise candidates for this work. If they are still 'learning' the basics, God help the people of Sussex. Sounds like they are admitting to not having the experience to manage a top flight Derby game. Police lies and under qualified match commanders....

Aside from the lies about knives and knuckle dusters, Chief Inspector Simon Nelson stated "I have never come across such concerted attempts to cause disorder and engage in violent behaviour. This was a return to the dark days of football." He must have led a very sheltered life, there was actually very little trouble at the match which was marred by the police getting fans to the ground late and Brighton not admitting fans with tickets.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

Absolutely ridiculous statement. What a complete turkey. Is he planning on going to the World Cup Finals in Russia? He might see a few "conncerted attempts" there. FFS.

So the police did not cause incitement to riot, or lie ? Fail, Fail, Fail. So Mr Nelson, what have you learned in order to progress policing at the next fixture ? When fans boycott the Amex, and police lose all their matchday overtime, you are gonna look even more of a tlt (if that were possible) Edited by Forest Hillbilly (19 May 2018 5.51pm)
