They are a shameful organisation. They clearly don't care about the lives of their own people.

As a group they vote majority left like most minorities....even though they are amongst the most successful. However on the state of Israel they vote majority right....and their lobbies and activists disfigure US politics so much that an anti Israeli politician is practically impossible as a big hitter.

Personally I like the Jews because they are majority secular and they are winners....Jewish scientists have made significant contributions to human advancement ...but as too are they positive or negative overall.

What I would say is that I've learnt that all minorities look to tear down the hegemony of majorities. But personally I think they are mad to vote majority left.....the left...especially the far left can't stand them.

I would prefer all these leaders right left Muslim Christian Jewish sit down and talk.
As no one can back down and accept there needs to be change it won't happen unfortunately.

The "Gaza massacre" referred to as the spurious title of this thread would be far more horrifying if the Hamas-inspired and funded zealots charging at Israel's defensive wall ever got through.

For what it's worth my take on this is (like myself most would say) pretty simple.

Israel has been formed. That is a fact and they aren't going anywhere. They will protect themselves against what THEY perceive as a threat, as any country would.

Palestine should be given enough land to make their country viable. Israel should recognise this and sit down for talks but they won't do this whilst there is a strong threat against their security.

To continually attack Israel via riots, missile from Syria or anything else is counter productive (although the riots I can understand).

As always the answer is for the sides to sit down and talk. There have been talks before so it is possible although not with the current Israeli government.
