If it’s a big team, Arsenal, gonna be a lot of pressure for them to win their first game as they are notoriously slow starters. New manager etc. Promoted teams tend to have a lot of energy and start well, I’d take Huddersfield at home again, hopefully the players remember this season and how crap they were second time round and get some revenge for the previous opening day.

If Aston Villa are promoted love to face them first game of new season. Give Bruce a welcome to the premier league he will never forget. That and Brighton at home. Two nice mouth waterers to begin with.

Wolves home or away. My Mrs and her Son are both Wolves so beating them early would be good. Same for me as it's a Wolves fan with whom I have the most fun and teasing.

Back in blighty for the first game so praying for a home game. Couldn't care less who against, although Brighton would be fun.

Just want to avoid the promoted teams until game 4 or 5 when their bubble will have burst slightly. They are always at their most dangerous when they still have 100% belief in the first few games - Huddersfield first up were horrid but the result was no huge surprise. I'd go for for West Ham or Watford as I'm not too keen on facing the big boys either. Though this may be our chance to get a result against Arsenal for once!

Any team who has the majority of their players at the World Cup has to be the obvious answer? City, United, Liverpool, Spurs would be great. Spurs away would be their new ground which pretty much wipes out home advantage as they won't have played much at it. I read the other week that the fixture organisers prevent the top 6 playing each other on the first or last day for some reason, in which case we've got a pretty high chance of getting one of them. A promoted club is daft. You want them once they've played 10 games, started picking up injuries and lost that winning momentum.

If Watford or Leicester keep their manager, one of them please. Both really stuttered and finished with a whimper this season, and I can imagine either of those managers lasting just a few uninspiring games at the start of the next one before they're sacked.

1) We don't want a newly promoted team as they are still on a high and have a lot of energy in the first few games.
