Nothing against Stoke- a fine, smaller club that’s had 10 years in the premier league. They brought something different to the league. Huddersfield on the other hand - I would open a bottle of the finest bubbly sitting in my fridge if those dirty northern barstewards go down.

Alongside the fact that we are a bit of a bogey side for Stoke and got 19 points off them since we came up!

Only if we are 5-0 up. A point will still mean Soton can catch us by winning their last 3 games and us losing. Anybody remember Oldham?

They play Swansea, Saints win would mean Swansea would have to win both their other games; Bournemouth away & Stoke at home.
Southampton winning their 3 games is highly unlikely as Man City will destroy them on the break if they pile forward.
Huddersfield look in a very precarious position now.

Because they moved the time forward, we have four hours of drinking in Stoke after the match (before our train home) so I would appreciate it if people didn't wind up the natives too much!

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Hear hear - they assaulted Wilf at Selhurst and then tried to do it again up at their place. Wagner should go back on X-Factor. Wouldn't mind their bald Aussie midfield player joining our Squad though.

A tad perplexed,....

I thought this was going to be a thread about nose-candy and prostitutes. Take your own gear, (don't trust those northern monkies), and remember to bag-it before entry.

I think you're better off waiting for WBA. Stoke fans may get the hump if Palace fans are celebrating whilst they are relegated. Plus there's no guarantee we'll be safe at stoke.

I disengage, I turn the page.

Are you crazy tempting fate like that, we still need a "mathematical"point, we would all end up with egg on our face, unless we win, then we could let rip

I think that our goal difference is as good as the mathematical point. I remember Palace doing a lap of honour after an end of Season game at Selhurst Park with Oldham having three games still to play against good sides. As we all know, Oldham won those three matches, we went down and boy did we have egg on our faces then. It is a bit different this time as Clubs below us still have to play one another which will put them in a position of wiping one another out. Stoke have to play Swansea away, Southampton have to play Swansea away and Swansea have to play Bournemouth at home. They cannot all get maximum points from those games. Added to that, Huddersfield have to play Man City away and Arsenal at home. However, that being said, I have supported Palace long enough to know that you cannot take anything for granted but I am quietly confident.

Hey this is Palace we're talking about here. A point is still needed and both WBA and Stoke are fighting and desperate. Once we get that point thens the time to celebrate, never before. Remember, this is Palace, the yoyo kings. COYP

The permeatations mean that it is nigh on impossible for us to go down. The way the results would have to go are far too complex and so much more than one team winning x amount of games

the dignified don't even enter in the game

Am I the only one that still want a us to focus on finishing as high up the table as we can? There's still 6 points on offer.

I think we'd all like that but realistically the highest we can finish is 10th, unless anyone else does what we did to Leicester and they lose their other two games as well.

Optimistic as ever
