Give him a week and he'll be back to the treatment room....needs to follow Benteke out of the door this summer. 80k a week for nothing!

I’m afraid I have no faith in Wickham ever playing anything like a full number of games in a season. He should be moved on and not James McArthur.

Ahhh, beans on toast for breakfast, jumpers for goalposts, strap on the old leather boots after you had scraped last weeks three inches of mud off. Get into that inside right position, sweep the ball out to the speedy right winger, cross it over to the crafty left winger and send in the cross for the centre forward to barge the ball and keeper into the net at the same time. Perfect goal, no ref's gonna turn that one down! Brings back some memories that does.

I wondered where you were going with that, for a brief moment.

You forgot one bit...re-enacting it all with your Subbuteo set when you got home. Oh yes!!

Cucking, look away, even YOU aint that bad.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

A fit CW is a very useful forward to have in our squad and I hope he returns with a bang next season, however we need him to be fit to play in at least 25 games next season and I just can't see that given the amount of injuries he picks up. I really hope he makes me eat my words and scores 15 goals in 25 games next season!

With C.W back our forwards would be: Benteke, Sorloth & C.W; that is clearly short of variety, so the need for a more mobile goal scorer is obvious. I'm not convinced we'd keep all 3 of the above in a squad, but couldn't say who would be released. The injuries are not Connor's fault, so I think he should receive more sympathy on here. His injury record before the last one wasn't in the region of Sturridge or our own Jonny Williams and he is still young. For me, he gets another season before I make a judgement.
